Good morning all! I'm evil_little_dog and I hope you've enjoyed this Alternate Reality theme week. Today's theme is "In a Different Time" so whatever fandom you're prompting, the storyline should be in a different decade/millenium than canon.

Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.

Spike : "I was actually at Woodstock. That was a weird gig. I fed off a flower person, and I spent the next six hours watchin' my hand move."

Her name was Barbara but she was calling herself Moonchild these days. She'd come here following the Grateful Dead. There were always predators hanging around on the outskirts of these things, looking for easy prey. Woodstock was a trip, even before that tab of acid hit. She wore a long dress with flowing sleeves, blending in with the other young women here, but she had wooden stakes up those sleeves. She wore a chain around her neck with a cross, a Star of David and a Crescent and Star. She also had a charm that a woman in Kentucky had give her which was supposed to hide her from the eyes of those who sought to do her harm. She'd assumed at the time that meant vampires but now she wasn't so sure. Not all predators had fangs.

Last night she'd had a vision, sat beside a campfire with the first, the mother of them all, who'd showed her more visions of past Slayers. But tonight was for the hunt. And she had just spotted her prey. A vampire wandering around, waving his hand and staring at it. Well somebody'd had an interesting meal. She reached for a stake but then her attention was caught by a woman leading a young man away from the crowd. She changed directions and went after them. Better to save the living than avenge the fallen.

A year later a young woman half way around the world woke up and the Watcher's Council breathed a collective sigh of relief. The unknown Slayer they'd never been able to track down was gone and they were in control again.

THis is wonderful (I sent Spike/Dru/Darla to Woodstock myself once back in the day). I loved each component, Spike being high, the inner musings of the unknown Slayer and the darkness of the Watchers at the end was the chef's kiss. Thank you so much
