Hello there! My name is [livejournal.com profile] andrea_deer and I will be your host this week. I hope you will enjoy the flight.

First theme is : staying outside. Because it's cold outside and it's a good time to remind ourselves what kind of hot and warm action can go on on the beautiful outside. This is time to prompt for sex in the woods, snogging on the meadow and confessing love on the top of the mountain. But also roadtrips, long walks, snow fights, trips and being kicked out of the house. Going out is the key ^_~

Remember you are free to post up to 5 prompts at a time and not more than 3 per one fandom. You can add more once your prompts had been answered! Also remember to use the ‘fandom, characters, prompt’ format.

Have fun!

Supernatural, Sam/Gabriel, fighting for riding a shot-gun

HIMYM, Marshal/Lily, Let's go out tonight!

X-Files, Mulder/author's choice, watching the stars

Scully can see her breath form into little particles in the air when she exhales. It’s a cold November night just north of DC and just after midnight, but instead of sitting snuggled amongst her blankets reading a good book and on her way to falling asleep, she’s sitting on a lawn chair atop a small hill watching Mulder set up a telescope.

There’s a strange grace and tenderness in his actions, so unlike his usual movements, that she admires; the way he extends the legs of the tripod, lifts the barrel out of its casing, and gently settles it into the mount until it snicks in place, a delicate sound she can hear only because of the intense silence. She wants to ask if there’s anything she can do to help him, but she suddenly feels that her voice would ring too loudly in the still night air. Instead she continues her vigil while he adjusts the scope, focusing on some celestial object millions of miles away that her naked eyes can’t possibly see.

She shivers a little, and the chair rattles slightly, but he doesn’t notice, or if he does, he doesn’t turn around. Scully rolls her eyes at his back, but she’s not surprised. If asked by anyone else, she wouldn’t have known to make of a situation like this one – is it an attempt to convince her? a date? an ambush? – but she’s gotten so used to not knowing what to make of Mulder that it doesn’t even bother her any more. He asked her here because he trusts her. Whatever that trust means, it’s something she’ll accept with open arms – even if it means she’s sitting outside in the near-freezing weather of an East Coast winter waiting to be allowed a window onto another man’s obsession.

Mulder withdraws so quickly from the telescope that it’s almost a recoil, and it shocks Scully, so her chair tips over backwards and she lands with a thud and muffled curse on the cold hard ground. She slowly pushes herself up, and a sheepish Mulder offers her a hand. “Sorry,” he says, righting the lawn chair. His expression quickly changes to a smile as he adds, “But you’ve got to see this,” taking her hand again and holding it longer this time as he leads her to the lens and a few steps further into his world.

Kings, Jack/David, A visit to the Shepherd farm

Date: 2010-03-11 03:09 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] monica-catch22.livejournal.com
About five minutes after they arrive Jack wonders if David maybe sucked his brains out through his dick to get him to come. He can't fathom any other explanation for being on a farm with no alcohol, no parties, and only some sheep for company. Well, sheep and David.

He reminds himself that he's trying to be a good boyfriend and just forces a smile for David's sake.

They spend the first day wandering around the house while David gets rib-cracking hugs from his numerous family members, Jack shying away from any possible touch. David introduces him as "my friend, Jack," and if his family recognizes Jack? They don't let it show. They instead welcome him with less enthusiastic but still overwhelming embraces then insist that they feed both boys before they blow away from a strong Gath wind. Jack's plate mysteriously keeps filling up with potatoes, beef, carrots and other simple fare; he resigns himself to a week on the treadmill when they return home.

After the last wave of hugging and feeding, David slips over to Jack and takes his hand, fingers entangled. Jack flushes with surprise but nobody comments. Instead, they ask if Jack knows canasta then beat him at cards for hours with David at his side, his fingers running gently over Jack's thigh.

David's brother Eli is arguing with another named Dathan when David leans over and whispers, "Thanks."

"For what?" Jack mutters, examining his cards.

He gets no reply. He turns his head and jumps at the press of David's lips, then slowly grins and kisses him back. Nobody sees them, too busy arguing yet loving each other.

And... maybe it isn't so bad, being on a farm with just David and his family. Temporarily.

Deliver Us From Evil

Dean's hands were covered in so much blood he couldn't see the wound anymore. "Cas? Cas, you gotta keep talking."

"What...what should I say?"

Castiel's voice was breathy and dazed. More blood seeped between Dean's fingers and he pressed harder on the wound in Cas' abdomen. "Anything you want, buddy. Anything that comes to mind." Every time he closed his eyes he saw that cursed dagger sink into Castiel's gut, heard the soft, surprised sound he'd made. "Sam'll catch the demon. He will."

"The wound doesn't pain me anymore." He almost sounded relieved.

"That's 'cause you're in shock, Cas."

Castiel blinked slowly. "I don't understand."

"Shock's something our bodies do when we get hurt. You said getting hit with that dagger screwed up your mojo, so right now you're running on human."

Castiel nodded. His eyes were bright and wide, staring up into the night sky. "Are...are you cold too, Dean?"

Dean felt a bead of sweat roll down his back; he'd all but soaked through his shirt in the muggy Florida night. "Yeah. Yeah, it's chilly out."

Dean could feel each shiver through his fingertips. "I've never been cold before. I don't think I like it."

"Most people don't, Cas. You're doing good."

He nodded again, as if Dean had asked a question. Dean could feel Cas' pulse fluttering, each beat bringing another spurt of dark blood. The dagger had done serious damage, maybe even hit the artery running through there; as if reading his mind Castiel murmured, "I don't think this wound is survivable, Dean."

"Don't worry about that. Sam breaks that dagger, you bounce back to normal. That's what you said, right? All you have to do is keep breathing until he catches the sonofabitch."

"I don't...I don't have to breathe."

"Until Sam gets his hands on that knife you do, Cas." Dean clenched his jaw. "That's all I want you to worry about, breathing in and out."

"In and out," Castiel whispered.

"That's right. Breathe in and breathe out." Castiel's hand twitched; Dean felt icy fingers circle his wrist and swallowed hard. "I'm here, Cas. I'm not going anywhere."

"Do you see that star? The faint one, just below Orion's belt?"

Dean kept his eyes locked on Cas' face. His eyes were so wide Dean could almost see the stars reflected anyway. "Yeah, Cas."

"It burned out 300 years ago. This is the last night its light will be v-visible on Earth," he said, his teeth chattering. "They all have names. Even ones unknown by humans."

"Bet you know them all, huh?"

Cas nodded. "I've always...always enjoyed looking at the stars." Dean felt his hand tighten around his wrist. "I'm glad you're here to see it with me." He was so quiet for so long Dean startled when he spoke again. "Do you know any prayers, Dean?"

He shook his head. "Not really my thing, Cas, you know that."

"Oh." His breath shuddered. "I...I think I would like to hear a prayer now."

Dean searched frantically through years of Pastor Jim sermons. "I might remember the Lord's Prayer from when I was a kid. I mean, maybe, I don't think I know all the words any more."

Cas nodded. "That would do. Thank you."

"Okay." He stumbled through the middle, pretty sure he'd made up a whole line at one point. He watched Cas as he finished, wondering how someone could be so pale and still be breathing.

Castiel's voice was fragile as spun glass. "Could you say it again?"

Dean felt his eyes burn. "Anything, Cas." When he got to the end he started over without prompting and Cas squeezed his wrist. The fifth time through he felt Cas' breathing synch with the rhythm of the prayer, his chest moving to Dean's faltering words.

Dean lost track of time. His legs were numb from kneeling on the ground, his arms shaking from trying to keep what little blood Cas still had inside his body. Cas' hand was a loose circle around his wrist, his eyes dull and vacant, still staring up at the ghosts of dead stars; the only sign Dean wasn't alone was Cas' faint, faint breathing, still following Dean's words as if the prayer was breathing for him. Dean's throat burned but he didn't dare stop, whispering words he'd never believed in to the night until he almost forgot there were other words. The world narrowed and spun on those words and the rise and fall under Dean's hands.

Breathe in. Breathe out.

((Riffing off your 'Changed' verse if that's cool, if not I'll delete right away.))

Barney shivered as the feathers on his back jolted every few seconds. His breaths were becoming thick clouds through his gloved fingers as he kept blowing into them in some vain attempt to warm the extremities.

"You could always try flying south for the winter." Ted remarked, walking up to him.

Barney threw him a look.

"There's a reason birds do it you know."

"I'm not a bird. I'm awesome, no weather can get in the way of awesomeness."

"I'm just saying..."

Barney glanced over at him, seeing that he was already covered in snow. "What happened to you?

"My class room is apparenly only a wall away from the outside and I slipped this morning." He pouted. "Why did you call me out here anyway?"

"Because you're the only one who was willing to meet with me in the middle of the day for a snowball fight." He grinned devilishly.

"I...What?" The throught slowly registering to Ted. Barney sharply turned around and began pelting him with snowballs. "Hey!"

"Come on dude, you're the only one I could have it with. Marshall is in an all afternoon meeting, Lily has a huge advantage, and Robin... well you know."

"Barney!" Ted protested, "What kind of reasoning is that?!"

Barney refused to answer his question and he beamed more snowballs at Ted laughing the whole time. Ted eventually grew tired of the constant barrage and soon joined Barney in the game. It only took about ten minutes for the game to grow into a full out challenge as Barney soared into the air and went for an aerial advantage.

"Hey!"

"My wings are cold Bro, it's like I'm killing two birds with one stone!"

"Are you sure that's the phrase you want to use?" Ted ended up having to run until his mind formulated a plan. He grinned as he ducked into the forrest part of the park. He began weaving through the trees until Barney lost sight of him.

"Ted?" Barney yelled out. A bunch of snowballs came at him from his right. "Gah!"

Ted laughed as Barney looked up at him in determination as their chase started up again. However, as they reached the end of the woods, Ted tripped and fell through a tree as Barney ended up flying into the tree.

"Barney!" Ted shakily got up and walked over to him, "Are you alright!?"

"Mmmuuggpffhh...?" His mouth was full of snow.

"Wow, I didn't realize I could do that. I guess you were right, it really was a fair fight."

Barney tried spitting out the snow, it took him a couple of tries and Ted patting his back before he got it all out. "W-Where did that tree come from...?"

"Didn't you see it?"

"I saw a bunch of snow flying into my face."

"You need goggles."

Barney thought about it for a moment, "That's not such a bad idea Mosby..."
