with_rainfall and today's theme is 100 words. Prompts can be anything you like, but fills should only be 100 words.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.

Joan shook her head. "Just popped in to say hi. My shift ended five minutes ago. And, well, I'd like to get some sleep when I get home."
"I'll cross my fingers for ya."
Even veteran staff needed luck.

Funny, how he’d come to kinda like it.
Sam glanced up from his tinkering, Redwing’s diagnostic lights blipping away. At the same time, Joli flicked her long tail, making Thea blink. While Bucky’s daemon growled low in annoyance, Joli stretched up on her hind legs in a little shuffling dance before hopping up on Sam’s shoulder, out of the way of Thea’s retaliatory swipe.
Laughing softly, Sam looked across the room, finding Buck’s eyes already trained on him. Tossed him a wink, and went back to his work.

Maybe the world wouldn't get a new Falcon - maybe just another Riley.

Free, therefore, to feel as she wished, Beth decided never again to feel afraid of this witty and wondrous boy. As Beth grew, as Beth faded, she still held sacred space in her over-brimming heart for the boy who brought milk and honey to her table, who learnt the names of dolls and never laughed at anything that was broken.
