4bdnsn0wflake, and I hope everybody had a great time these past two weeks.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who left prompts and those who filled them!
Our final theme is Movies.
Prompts can include movie titles, dialogue, going to the theater, etc. As long as it involves movies in some way, it’s fair game.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.

“Lucifer, what would you say is the best thing about a drive-in movie?”
“The backseat.”
+ Author’s choice, any characters, having the classic Star Wars versus Star Trek argument

Stiles stared at Derek. He was dumbstruck for a minute. Like, literally stuck dumb. Then he raised his hand and pointed. "Blasphemer!"
Derek scoffed. "The original movie was a cheesy summer blockbuster about space wizards with laser swords."
"Well excuse me mister cinephile movie nerd. Maybe it's not The Seventh Seal or Citizen Kane but it's still a great movie."
"Jar Jar Binks," Derek said.
Stiles countered with "Tribbles".
"Teddy bears defeat highly trained and well equipped troops with rocks and pointy sticks."
"Aliens steal Spock's brain!"
"Nothing makes sense in the Star Wars universe. Every asteroid has a breathable atmosphere. They cross the galaxy in minutes."
By now Stiles was waving his hands around wildly. "Oh right! Like the space ships in Star Trek aren't powered by weapons grade hand wavium." Stiles suddenly turned somber. "One of the last good memories I have of my mom is watching A New Hope with her. It was right before she went into the hospital. She was still having some lucid times. We were supposed to watch The Empire Strikes back the next day but that never happened."
Derek sighed. "Okay, we'll watch Star Wars tonight."
Lydia came sailing into the loft. "Jackson and I had another fight. We're watching The Notebook."
And that was that.

Date: 2023-03-27 09:28 pm (UTC)Of course, they reckoned without Magnum and Higgins crashing the big day and where those two go, Rick and TC invariably follow. Except that now those two mean that Mahina and Suzy come too, along with Cade and Joy, the toddler almost threatening to steal the show with her frilly dress and flowery headband. And of course there’s Kumu, ready with a traditional Hawaiian blessing that brings tears to Noelani’s eyes.
In short, it’s a beautiful day.
And it gets even better when the gang surprise them with a night in the honeymoon suite in the nicest hotel in the city, something that costs an eye watering sum of money and Gordon knows because he priced it up too. “C’mon, Gordy,” Magnum laughs as he claps him on the shoulder, “you think we’re not going to pull out all the stops for you on your big day?”
Gordon smiles and thanks them and when he gets up to the suite, Noelani’s hand warm in his, he gets why their friends did this. There is champagne on the table, chocolates alongside them. Rose petals are scattered on the bed and this high up, the views of the city below are breathtaking.
But not near as breathtaking, Gordon thinks, as the woman standing in front of him, her hands sliding up and down his forearms appreciatively. “I don’t need all this, you know,” she tells him quietly. “I don’t care about all the hoopla… I just want to be your wife.”
She’s so obviously sincere that it brings a lump to Gordon’s throat and he wonders, not for the first time, what he did to get so lucky as to have a second chance with a woman like this.
“I know exactly what you mean.” He kisses her softly, then pulls back, resting his head against hers. His fingers finds the little zipper tag at the nape of her neck and he tugs at it slowly. “But since we’re here… it would be rude to waste it…”
Her little giggle is the best thing he’s heard all day.
But moments later, her gasp of his name is even better.
