Hello, everyone. I’m cozy_coffee and today's theme is One word. Prompts should be one word and one word only.

Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.

CSI:Miami, Horatio Caine/Rick Stetler, exhausted

Rick tossed down the magazine he had been thumbing through when he heard Horatio's Hummer pull into his driveway. He stood up and stretched before making his way over to his front window.

He looked out the window and watched Horatio slowly exit the Hummer. He knew from a conversation that they had had earlier in the week that Horatio wasn't sleeping well because of the case he had caught.

Domestic violence cases always troubled the redhead because they brought up memories of his past that he wish he could permanently forget.

Rick could see the waves of exhaustion just roll off the redhead as Horatio shuffled up the sidewalk to his front door.

Sighing and shaking his head, Rick went over to the door and opened it. "Hey," he said giving Horatio a soft peck on lips as he drew him inside. "I thought you were going go home and crash."

"You promised me dinner," Horatio answered letting Rick lead him inside.

"I believe I said something about heating up leftovers," Rick quipped with a wry grin.

"So?" Horatio countered thinking anything would beat the half a bottle Scotch he had waiting on him at his condo.

"You're impossible," Rick retorted as he relieved Horatio of his gun and badge before steering him toward the couch. "And sit down before you fall down."

Horatio flopped down on the couch with a tired groan. He was beat and was surprised he made it through the day without falling asleep.

Rick set Horatio's badge and gun on the credenza next to his just as he heard a soft snore come from the couch. He smiled and turned to see that Horatio had stretched out on the couch after kicking off his shoes and slipping out of his suit jacket.

He walked up to the couch and brushed a soft kiss against Horatio's forehead. "Love you," he murmured before heading into the kitchen to fix them dinner content that his lover was finally getting some of the rest he badly needed.
