Wednesday: Opposites
Oct. 12th, 2021 10:23 pmHappy Wednesday!
4bdnsn0wflake here, bringing you a new theme.
That theme is Opposites. Prompts should involve things that are opposites in some way.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ The Strachey Mysteries, Donald Strachey/Timothy Callahan, morning person vs night person
+ Saiyuki, Koumyou Sanzo+/Ukoku Sanzo, zen vs chaos
+ MCU, the Avengers, heroes vs villains
+ Author’s choice, any character(s), frumpy vs glowed up
We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2021 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out the just created Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet. For more recent prompts to write, you can also use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

Date: 2021-10-13 03:24 am (UTC)[Fill] Strachey Mysteries - Donald Strachey/Timothy Callahan - Change of Shift
Date: 2021-10-15 03:04 am (UTC)By passing the stairs, Donald made his way into the kitchen. He filled the coffee maker and set it to delay so the rich aroma would just be starting to fill the house when Timmy awoke. Next he rummaged through the fridge, pulling out the makings for omelets. Usually Timmy started his day with steel cut oatmeal, but Donald was willing to bet Timmy would make an exception if the food was handed to him, hot and ready to eat.
It wasn't often that their comings and going coincided well enough tor a sit down breakfast and Donald was going to make the most of it.

Date: 2022-03-23 02:07 am (UTC)Melina really hadn't been joking when she'd said how badly it had pained her to watch her girls, again and again, day after day, be drawn back into the American public school system.
"I don't know," Cooper said as he reached forward and grabbed the bottle of soy sauce, "sounds pretty important to me."
Lila pushed a few stray locks of hair back behind her ear. "It wasn't like it was the only question that Mr. Liebowitz asked us. After a little more of the easy stuff - whether cats are better than dogs and what the best cereal brand is - he started asking us real questions. Stuff like what, if anything, would we do to reform the Supreme Court or how we might best help end homelessness."
Natasha snorted. "I would hope that you wouldn't be asked anything less."
"Well I," Clint said, "just want know how you answered him."
"Yes," Laura added, "go on and give us an idea of what's running around in that brain of yours."
Lila's cheeks pinkened. She looked down to her half-finished California roll. "Whatever came to my head," she said. "I was so excited after all that simple stuff that I didn't put as much thought into what I said as I should. Even I knew that I wasn't making sense."
"When do you ever?" Cooper asked.
Lila rolled her eyes. "I learned it from you!"
"Hey, hey," Natasha said, shooting them a wink. "Remember what we all agreed on last month? If you two are going to fight, you might as well get physical. It's never a bad time to practice your right hook."
Lila laughed. "I wish I could do that on stage. My teacher was right, you know, to get us worked up like that. If he'd asked us those questions right off the bat, I don't know if I would have been able to say anything at all."
Laura reached her arm out and squeezed Lila's shoulder. "Don't be so hard on yourself, Li."
She shrugged. "It's true. But you know what? I'm excited for Wednesday's practice. At least now I know what I'm getting myself into."
Clint grinned. "That's the spirit!"
"When did you say your first competition was?" Laura asked.
"September twelfth," Lila said. "It's us versus Palisades."
"And we'll be there to see you put them in their places," Clint said, looking the table over.
"All of us," Natasha added.
