"Yeah, well don't forget I have a lasso of truth," she says playfully, holding up the prop rope.
"Your raised eyebrow when you're annoyed is your lasso of truth," Tony said.
"I take that for the compliment it is," Pepper said, laughing.
"Now Happy!" Morgan said, and Happy popped into the room next, dressed in green and carrying a bow and arrow.
"You're Uncle Clint for Halloween?" Morgan said, confused.
"No, I'm Green Arrow!" Happy said, then nodded to Tony and Pepper, "You really need to give her more comic books."
Then Rhodey called out from the next room, "Guess who's coming to save the day!!!" and ran in to show his costume.
"Superman!!!" Morgan squealed, clapping!
Peter ran in next, using quite a bit of his spider-speed. "It's me! I'm the Flash!"
"Cool," Tony said, "You know the Flash saves the day and also never forgets to do his science homework, just saying," but before Peter could look sheepish, Happy interrupted, "Barry Allen forgets things ALL the time, Tony."
"Where's your costume, Morgan?" Peter asked.
"Dad, let's show them our costumes!" she said, and they went to another room as everyone waited.
Soon, Tony came back wearing a latex catsuit.
"Catwoman?" Rhodey asked.
"Catwoman is a hero in her own right," Tony said.
Pepper crossed her arms. "Tony. Don't think I don't remember that you ship Selina and Diana. I know what you're doing here."
Tony shrugged. "See what I mean — you don't need a lasso. Okay, time for an adorable child to come in and distract you all from my cosplay plans. Morgan! Showtime!"
Morgan came in wearing green and carrying a trident, standing atop a floating 6-foot-tall pool of blue water, complete with animatronic coral, sharks, octopuses, and swordfish. "I'm Aquawoman!!" she said proudly.
"A little over the top?" Pepper said quietly to Tony.
Tony pretended to be terribly offended. "How. Dare. You. After I cancelled all those real sharks and octopi so she could have a more down to Earth costume."
"All right, let's all follow Aquawoman to go trick or treating!!" Rhodey said, trying not to laugh.
They left, with Pepper still shaking her head, and Peter cautiously sticking his hand in the pool to pet the animatronic animals.
"Cool costume," he said to Morgan.
"Thanks, Flash!" Morgan said, and Peter just grinned.
"Okay, fine, this whole night is very sweet, I won't give you a hard time about the fact that our daughter needs a clearance larger than some parking garages have," Pepper said to Tony as they walked at the rear of the group.
Tony raised his fake claws and did his best Eartha Kitt hiss, "So you admit that Catwoman has allured you into surrender?"
"Don't push it."
