Howdy, Folxs! [livejournal.com profile] momma_66 back at it today on this wonderful Tuesday, ready to let the creative juices flow. Today's theme is animals!

I am definitely one of those people who prefer animals over people, so let's give them lots of love today. Prompts should feature animals in some such way.

Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.

Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt

Some examples to get the ball rolling...

+Zootopia, Judy Hopp/Nick Wilde, their first kit

+ 9-1-1, Buck Buckley/Eddie Diaz + Chris Diaz, first pet

+ Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Buffy Summers + Xander Harris, after affects of the hyena possession

We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2021 collection. See further notes on this new option here.

Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out the just created Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet. For more recent prompts to write, you can also use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.

While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

FILL!

“Please, Buck. Can I keep him? He’s so cute!” The little boy offers his dad the saddest puppy dog eyes, which are very hard to resist. Instead, he throws the choice off on his husband—playing dirty, if Eddie says no then at least he is not the bad guy.

"Ask your father, buddy," Buck takes a little step back, bypassing the learning glare from his husband.

Chris turns his big doe eyes on Eddie, giving his dad the sweetest smile Eddie knows will weaken his resolves. "Please, can I keep him?" He holds onto the tiny puppy, his shaggy chestnut hair an adorable tussle mess as the result of chasing after the little puppy and driving him away from the road where he would have gotten hit.

They have all looked around the town for the puppy's owner, but no one claimed it.

“Please, Dad. Can I keep him? I love him! I love him so much!” The little puppy has not moved from his spot-on Christopher's lap, snuggled up cozy and warm as the little boy gently runs a hand down his back.

Eddie brushes Christopher's bangs out of his eyes, feeling his heart splitters when his son’s hopeful eyes grow sadder and his bottom lip quivers slightly. Quickly, to avoid the puppy dog eyes of doom, he looks down at the puppy nestled cozy and comfy in Christopher's little hands.

The small puppy has deemed Christopher's lap the perfect napping place, having quickly fallen asleep in Christopher's lap ever since the boy picked him up, and now, the baby pup lies sleeping, whole heartedly trusting the little boy even though Christopher has only held him momently.

Dogs know who is good and bad, and without a doubt, the puppy has declared Chris his perfect companion.

Eddie quickly looks to Buck, silently mouthing "help me" because he doesn’t want to say no, the puppy is very adorable, and every young boy needs a dog. Buck gives Eddie his own pair of puppy dogs eyes, wanting to keep the adorable baby pup just as much as Christopher—how is it that a grown ass man looks so cute! —and Eddie knows he is beat.

“Okay, Chris, you can keep him.”

“Yippee!” Christopher didn’t mean to shake the puppy awake, but the little wiggly mutt is happily ready to play as Christopher hugs his dad's leg, “You’re the best dad in the whole wide world! I love you!”

As the puppy yips playfully and chased after the rollie ball Christopher throw for him, Buck wraps an arm around Eddie's waist and kisses his cheek. “I couldn’t agree more, you really are the dad in the world.”

Eddie smiles bashfully, cheeks aglow with happiness, and as Buck lays his head on Eddie's shoulder, they soul mates watch with happy hearts as their son giggled to his hearts delight as the little puppy lovingly snuggles up back on his lap.
