Wednesday - Poetry
Dec. 15th, 2021 06:38 amGood morning, Famjam. I’m
momma_66 and today's theme is Poetry.
"Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most…" which is how I felt throughout HS English classes trying to interpret famous poems. Poetry is certainly something that grew on me with age (we won't mention all that teen angst poetry...nope.)
Today's prompts should feature your favorite poems, poets, or maybe even a headache...as always, be creative with it.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Any, Any + Any,
"Can't a house just be a house!?"
"Not according to like, fifty, scholars."
+ Any, Any + Any
You're such a nice girl.
Please don't disappear on me
like Kitty Pryde did.
Nerd Haiku Robb Pearlman
+Any, Any + Any,
"So avoid using the word ‘very’ because it’s lazy. A man is not very tired, he is exhausted. Don’t use very sad, use morose. Language was invented for one reason, boys - to woo women - and, in that endeavor, laziness will not do. It also won’t do in your essays."
Dead Poets Society
We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2021 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out the just created Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet. For more recent prompts to write, you can also use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.
