Tuesday: No Romance

canonisrelative and today's theme is No Romance. Prompts can be for any single character or combination of characters, but the prompts and fills should focus on something other than romance between the characters.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.

"But I need/ my voice!"
Ursula arched an eyebrow. "I thought you needed legs."
Ariel stiffened. Ursula had to push back a smile. Had Triton's spoiled little girl swam in here honestly believing that Ursula was just going to hand her a pair of legs on a silver platter?
"B-but..." Ariel said, her shoulders slumping.
"Unless you know another way to get with prince-y dearest, not having a voice will be the least of your concerns." Ursula swam forward, wrapping an arm around Ariel's shoulders. "Magic never comes free, darling."
With a hard jerk of her tail, Ariel pulled away. She brought her arms to her chest and hugged herself. "But without my voice, how will I let Eric know I saved him?"
Ursula chuckled. "Oh, dearie, I just know you'll find a way. Love always does." She tapped her chin. "And that's what all this is about, isn't it? Love."
Ursula's gaze tightened. Ariel met her eyes for only a moment before looking down and giving her a quick nod.
"And love," she continued, "requires sacrifice. What's a little siren's song got on true love?"
Her voice, Ursula thought. Why, the only thing that she could take away that would wound Triton more was his daughter herself! And what a lovely little token her sweet song would be.
Ursula closed the space between them once more. She almost had her! To lose the mermaid now would be more than just missing out on a deal - years of work and waiting would be lost with it. The little ditz wanted a human. Ursula wanted the sea king's head. So long as Ariel didn't swim back to Daddy, at least one of them would get their wish within the next three days.
Ursula toyed with the nautilus shell circling her neck. It was just another little token she'd picked up through her work over the years. At the time, it had seemed only a little bauble. Yet of all the trinkets she'd gathered in years past, this was one of the few that hadn't been lost to time. Perhaps luck had saved it. Or maybe some part of her had realized just what it might one day do, what power it held - and all the more power it might bring.
She looked Ariel up and down. Even for her clientele, Ariel looked particularly pathetic; her misty eyes were weighed down with tears that she, like the rest of her kind, could not shed. It really would be a favor to humor her, wouldn't it?
"You do love him, don't you?"
Ariel nodded again. Not a contract in sight and the little dear was already struck dumb!
"Then you know what you'll have to give me."

And sorry it took me so long to reply - life has been crazy!
