Wednesday: Slice of Life

canonisrelative. It's Wednesday, so let's slow things down a little with some Slice of Life fics. You know, those quiet moments between the heists or the surgeries or the mysteries that show the characters just...doing what normal people do.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]

Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ MASH, Hawkeye Pierce +/ BJ Hunnicutt or Trapper John McIntyre, one's doing the laundry while the other reads the newspaper or a medical journal out loud.
+ MCU, Any or ensemble, Grocery shopping
+ Elementary, Sherlock Holmes +/ Joan Watson, Painting each others' toenails on a slow day between cases.

Date: 2022-06-16 02:07 am (UTC)Hardison follows his sleepy mumble with a low groan, shifting around behind him, and Eliot keeps his eyes closed, keeps counting his breaths, keeps his heartbeat steady by force of will, sleep so close he can taste it.
Hardison, of course, sits up in bed and shakes Eliot by the shoulder. “Eliot, man, wake up. I just remembered we’re out of milk.”
Eliot feels sleep vanish like morning mist and makes a valiant grab for his temper before it can follow. He still doesn’t open his eyes. “Hardison, you have five seconds to explain yourself or you’re going out the window without a rig.”
“Come on, man. We’re out of milk,” he says, like he’s talking to a child, and Eliot finally rolls over to glare at him, trying not to soften at the sight of the pillow lines creasing Hardison’s cheek.
“Is that a, is that like a, a euphemism or something? Dammit, Hardison, why is this my problem at two in the morning?”
“It’s gonna be your problem in like six hours babe when Parker rolls in here wanting her cereal, you really want to be the one explaining to our sexy and very noisy girlfriend why she can’t have her celebratory cereal morning after a heist? I did not think so. Get up baby we gotta go to the store.”
“Why do we both gotta go to the store? There’s a store two blocks away go get it yourself she was your girlfriend first!”
“Oh hell no, go out there alone in the middle of the night? This a rough neighborhood man, you ain’t sending me out there to get arrested for shopping while black at two AM, bring your ass.”
Eliot groans loud and rolls out of bed, bidding goodbye to even the idea of sleep and letting Hardison pull a wool cap over his ears and fuss over his jacket and scarf before they head out into the night together.

“Why?”
“Well, I didn’t think the recipe would make very much, so I doubled the quantities.”
Adam laughed. “So we’ve got enough to feed the whole of Section D for the next week,” he said.
“Not quite but getting on that way.”
“Let’s hope it freezes okay.”
