Friday: Relaxation

Happy Friday, everyone! It's templefugate, and I'm back with my final set of prompts for this week. Hosting has been fun, but I'm glad for a chance to sit back. Hence, today's theme is relaxation. All prompts have to be related to relaxation - be it a character finally getting some or once again having a well-needed break ripped from their fingers.

Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.

FILL: 9-1-1, Buck/Eddie

The firehouse is surprisingly silent at this moment, no loud sounds of boots on the ground rushing to the firetrucks, or the blaring wail of the alarm. For now, all is calm and quiet, and Buck meant to head to his own bed, but as tradition, his feet (or rather his heart) lead him to Eddie’s bed. Eddie was already sleep, his handsome face pressed into the fluffy pillow. Buck is careful not to wake his boyfriend as he slides onto the bed, melting in to the soft sheets as he lays beside Eddie.

As he throws an arm over Eddie, he half expect the perfect moment to be ruined as the fire alarm goes off, but only peace greets him. They lay in bed, warm blankets cocooning them, creating a cozy little nest.

Eddie doesn’t wake, he is sleeping peacefully, he looks blissful, not a care in the world, limbs relaxed and warm under the soft sheets, lips pink and kissable sweet as he breathes deep and even.

“Love you,” Buck softly whispers, before pressing a little kiss to Eddie’s cheek. Hen is not around to see it, and Buck is thankfully because she is such a momma hen she would’ve fawned all over the sappy moment. The thought makes him smile as he lays his head on Eddie’s pillow, an arm around his waist to give him a little snuggle.

He feels blissful, not just for himself but for Eddie too because the past few days have been so overwhelmingly chaotic and frantic, Eddie hasn’t slept well. But now, by some grace of angelic bliss, he dreams peacefully, and Buck is thankful…And the saying is true, “Love is that condition in which the happiness of another person is essential to your own.” Because knowing that Eddie is as blissful as him is the greatest gift his beloved husband could ever give him.

Soon, Buck drifted off in the velvety darkness, dreaming only good dreams beside his Eddie.
