Fusion Thursday
Jul. 21st, 2022 02:09 pmGood Thursday, my darling beans! I remain
classics_lover hosting this week. Thursday's Theme is Fandom Fusions. Prompts must involve fusions of fandoms, such as Star Trek with daemons, or Lucifer with real life Pokemon, or even Mass Effect in the Dragon Age universe. Enjoy!
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Dragon Age, author's choice, soulmate ribbon fusion
+ Star Trek/MCU, ensemble, a starship staffed by Avengers
+ MCU/Frasier, ensemble, Frasier gives therapy to the superheroes and supervillains
We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2022 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out the just created Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet. For more recent prompts to write, you can also use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.
While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.

An older, battle-scarred lion paced the confines of Ted’s office. He had hopped down from the couch in the office when Steve Arnott and his badger left the office a couple hours ago.
Ted frowned. “Come on now. They will be back soon and you know it.” Ted growled, envious of the freedom to pace that the lion enjoyed. He wished he could do the same.
The lion sat in front of his desk. ‘You are more than welcome to join me. Something isn’t right and you know it. You should not have let them go alone. Steve is tough, but he doesn’t have our teeth and claws. It is your duty to protect them’.
Ted glared at his counterpart, teeth baring in warning. “They can take care of themselves, quite well.”
‘Not well enough. You know this. They need…’
His reply was cut short when Steve Arnott entered the office again, clearly injured but also obviously having been attended to, his badger being carried in his arms. He said something to his partner before heading right for Ted’s office.
Entering, he laid his badger on the couch before turning and shutting the door.
The old Lion gave a blistering glare at Ted before hopping onto the couch and curling around the badger, sniffing at his wounds, lapping them with a broad yet tender tongue. Deciding that everything was okay, he continued to nuzzle the badger, comforting him.
Occasionally still meeting Ted’s eye with a distinctly disappointed glower. He wasn’t, however, unaware of the wave of jealousy emanating from Ted. Would do the old boy some good to be jealous.
Ted wanted nothing more than to do pretty much the same thing to Steve, but he forced himself to remain sitting at his desk, but his eyes softened as held Steve’s gaze.
“Everything okay, fella?”
Steve nodded. “Suspect brought in. Without too much of a fight.” He tried for humor but failed. He looked back to the couch.
The old lion huffed something low, and the badger nodded consent. He jumped down from the couch, padding slowly over to Steve, leaning heavily against him for a few moments before announcing they were going back to the flat.
Ted got up, opened the door to let them out of the office, closed it behind them, quietly locking it, and then turned the pull cord on the blinds to close the slats.
He moved over to Steve, pulling him close, and wrapping his arms around him.
“I am so damn jealous of those two sometimes.”
