Hello, everyone. I’m
turnerwolf and today's theme is Folk Sayings/Proverbs. Prompts can be any folk saying or proverb- feel free to use any that you know or find. If not in English, a copy in the original is most welcome but not required. If you do, please leave the English translation for folks!
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and the fandom's full name
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above-mentioned spoiler cut.
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling... As you will all get tired of me saying- not up to date on 'popular' fandoms, so please feel free to replace fandom and characters for any of the examples I have left...
+ Any, Any, +/, Any- Your last cheque should be to the undertaker — and it should bounce
+ Blood, Jim Hogan, Cat (or Fiona or Michael)- Ar scáth a chéile a mhaireann na daoine- Under the shelter of each other, people survive.
+ Any, Any, +/ Any- Síleann do chara agus do namhad nach bhfaighidh tú bás choíche- Both your friend and your enemy think that you will never die.

+ Any, Any/Any- Tiocfaidh ar la - Our day will come.
We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2023 collection. See further notes on this new option here.

Date: 2023-01-04 07:29 pm (UTC)FILL: Fellow Travelers, Hawkins Fuller/Tim Laughlin
Date: 2023-12-02 03:48 pm (UTC)Tim saw the good in him that Hawk never saw in himself. Hawk had lived this way for so long, not attaching his heart to anyone. Until Tim came along. Hawk was used to hiding his true self in order to survive. Skippy never learned how to hide. He would be willing to kiss Hawk in front of a room full of senators, lose his job, and possibly go to jail just for the single moment of showing Hawk how much he loved him.
The reward of goodness is love. Tim accepts the heartbreak and hurt and the hiding and trades it in for a moment like now—when they are alone in bed and Hawk clings to him, laying his head on his chest and finally relaxing. He can be soft and sweet now; he can unwind and be his true self now that it’s only them hidden away from the world.
“I don’t deserve you, Skippy.” Hawk whispers into Tim’s soft and warm skin, pressing a kiss over his chest, where his heart beats sure and steady. “You are too good for me. Too sweet and pure, innocent.” His voice breaks into a hushed whisper, and Tim hugs him closer, brushing a hand through Hawk’s hair.
“You deserve love.” Tim assures, running his fingertips up Hawk’s back. “You are a good man; I know it.” It breaks a part of Hawk knowing that his boy thinks he is worthy of love. He’s hurt Tim and broken his heart more times than he cares to admit, and still Tim loves him with all of his heart.
“Kiss me?” Hawk asks, hopeful and longing. He’s never so vulnerable then when he is with Tim. His boy smiles at him with such a fond smile that it rattles Hawk’s heart and Tim leans in, gently kissing Hawk.
Hawk clings to Tim in those moments, wrapped around Tim and holding on tightly for fear that he will one day lose him, so desperate for just one touch of pure goodness from his boy, who has a heart of gold.

Date: 2023-01-04 07:32 pm (UTC)Scream (1996), Billy/Stu, pre-canon
Date: 2023-03-11 06:05 pm (UTC)"It'll be the perfect crime," Stu whispers, his breath warm against Billy's cheek. "Framing that idiot--both of 'em." He chuckles, just a little exhalation. "You and me, Billy."
Billy tilts his head enough to meet Stu's gaze. He brings their clasped hands to his lips, presses a kiss to Stu's knuckles. "All tied up with a neat bow," Billy says.
A one-off murder, affair gone bad: killer caught and convicted.
A killing spree, one year later, a grieving husband snapped. Motive will have to be supposition, but there'll be a few hints dropped, and as the barely-clinging-to-life survivors, they'll weave the narrative.
Stu rolls them over, draping himself across Billy. "You and me," he repeats.
Billy pulls him down, close enough that he'd crawl inside Stu's skin and bones if he could. "You and me," Billy promises.
