Hello, everyone. I’m
turnerwolf and today's theme is Inspired by Poetry! Prompts can be a line or two (or even a stanza) of your favorite poems! Please leave the name of the poem and the author. This is a great resource for poems if you don't have any or need to check your lines if you need to :) Also, if you are a poet, feel free to leave a verse or two of your own :) For those doing the fills- interpret them how you wish!
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and the fandom's full name
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above-mentioned spoiler cut.
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Any, Any/+. Any- It lights the dark of this prison cell,
It thunders forth its might,
It is ‘the undauntable thought’, my friend,
That thought that says ‘I’m right!’- The Rhythm of Time by Bobby Sands
+ Any, Any/+. Any- Those that I fight I do not hate,
Those that I guard I do not love; - An Irish Airman Foresees His Death by William Butler Yeats
+ Any, Any/+. Any- My princely love, can ageless love do more than tell to you,
Go raibh mile maith agat for all you tried to do,
For all you did, and would have done, my enemies to destroy,
I’ll mourn your name and praise your fame, forever, my Laughing Boy.- The Laughing Boy by Brendan Behan
We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2023 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? You can use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.
While the use of LJ's advanced search options is available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching in the future.

are rolling in or moving out,

what shall—
what should I do? And the sea says

Excuse me, I have work to do.”
