Friday: Outside POV/OC
Jan. 27th, 2023 12:00 amHello, everyone. I remain
canonisrelative and I thank you for playing along this week. I regret not being able to write more, I usually pick hosting weeks when I expect to have free time to write lots of fills but I also write for a living and had some deadlines shift and just haven’t had the time or energy. But let’s end the week on a high note:
Today’s theme is OCs and OUTSIDE POV. Prompts should have to do with characters looking in from the outside at the main characters of our favorite shows, movies and books. Make up a character who would fit in to canon or make use of an existing one-off character.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and the fandom's full name
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above-mentioned spoiler cut.
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Any, Any/+any, Pick a side character from your favorite episode and tell us their side of the story.
+ Grace and Frankie, An older cashier or sales clerk etc, The cashier has their life (or at least their perspective on their life) turned around by an encounter with Grace and Frankie.
+ MASH, A queer patient, A queer patient comes through the 4077th and gets a front-row seat to how completely obvious Hawkeye and Trapper or Hawkeye and BJ (or other couple of your choice) are about their feelings for each other.
We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2023 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? You can use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.
While the use of LJ's advanced search options is available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching in the future.
