Monday: Genres

templefugate, your host for the week. Today's theme is genres! Prompts can have anything to do with various narrative genres, from defying tropes to characters finding themselves in one entirely different to the source media they belong to.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.

Date: 2023-12-02 05:46 pm (UTC)“Shoes off on the carpet.” Ian stops him at the front door, and Mickey grumbles, but toes off his sneakers anyway.
“Welcome home, Mr. Gallagher,” Ian hands him his favorite black rainbow cup filled with hot chocolate, fluffy marshmallows and puffy whipped cream topped with caramel drizzle, and Mickey’s eyes widen cartoon big as he makes grabby hands for the goodie.
Mickey has come home from a weed run with rosy cheeks cold from the chilly winter air, and Ian has dinner waiting for him, his kindhearted husband always welcoming him with a cup of hot chocolate followed by a home cooked meal.
Mickey takes a small sip, humming blissfully as the delicious warm chocolate soothes his cold body. Ian encircles Mickey’s waist with his arms, giving him the most beautiful smile Mickey has ever seen as he hugs him.
“Are you hungry,” Ian hugs Mickey gently, helping to chase away the chill before giving him a sweet soft kiss under the mistletoe, and Mickey’s tummy rumbles in reply.
They eat dinner in their cozy pajamas as the fireplace crackles, warming them. They talk, still smiling like kids in love, and laughing. As Mickey finishes his delicious hot chocolate, a dollop of cream smudges his lip, and Ian leans in to kiss him. Mickey smiles with that beautiful grin that makes Ian’s heart skip a beat.
“Are you sure you are not an Angel?” Mickey asks, and Ian just playfully rolls his eyes and kisses him, making Mickey smile.
After dinner, they cuddle in bed, sharing a fluffy blanket. Mickey spends most of his time wearing Ian's black hoodie as the dreaded chill blankets the town, along with a pair of fuzzy socks that have smiling puppy dogs printed on them.
Winter is frightfully cold, but a saving grace is that Ian spoils him with soothing hot tea, handing Mickey a cup and gently brushing a hand down his back as Mickey sips the peppermint goodness. Warm, not scolding hot, the tea fills his body with a euphoria that makes him grin brightly.
He brings the cup to his nose and breathes in the rich peppermint and the scent tickles his nose, making Ian laugh sweetly and lean in to give him an Eskimo kiss. The tea from the diner in town is acceptable if Ian is not around when Mickey is in the mood for a soothing cup, but Mickey preferred the way Ian made it which was always gloriously wonderful: strong without being potent, one sugar cube and a little drop of honey.
He loves his husband with all his heart, Mickey lays snuggly cozy as Ian rubs his hand up and down his back, soothing him into the realm of sweet peaceful dreams, hugging Mickey like he is a giant teddy bear.

The morning Billy realized Mom and Jocobi were never coming back, Tyrel settled. “That’s it, then?” he asked as she climbed up his arm to spread across the back of his neck and shoulders.
“Yup,” she muttered, kneading his shirt.
He reached up to rub along her spine and then clumped down the hall, ignored his dad already at the table with Alonna perched on the back of his chair. As Billy grabbed his bag from beside the door and opened it, Dad called "I'll see you tonight!" through his eggs and bacon. Alonna added, "Have a good day at school!"
Neither Billy nor Tyrel replied. He let the door slam behind them.

About halfway through sophomore year, Vysta stopped changing shape. As he rubbed her ears on the second day of the same form, Stu asked, "That's it, then?"
Vysta playfully snapped at him, catching his hand in her jaws. "Feels right," she said, letting go of Stu's hand to stretch.
"You sure are a funny lookin' wolf," Stu told her.
With a play growl, Vysta snapped at him again and he laughed.
