Fill Magnum PI (Gordon/Noelani)

Noelani is far from a superficial person. She doesn't judge people by their looks, by their jobs, by their upbringing, anything like that. She takes people as she finds them, bases her opinion on how they treat her, how they treat other people, whether they like dogs, that kind of thing.

It takes more than a pretty face to turn her head, always has.

Although.

There are moments.

Like when Gordon appears in her office after his hearing. She hasn't seen a whole lot of him lately; he's been fastidious about not being public with their relationship, not wanting her reputation to take the hit of being seen on the arm of a disgraced cop. Which makes her scoff, because it's not like they've been some great secret up to now, people know they're together, keeping their distance only makes her cranky and frustrated. She also knows that he's been anxious about the hearing, although he's trying to be stoic about it, so she's given him the space that she knows he needs.

Not that she was happy about it, but it was something she knew she had to do.

And now he's here, standing in front of her.

Wearing a dark navy suit that fits him perfectly, one she's never seen before. His shirt is a lighter shade of dark blue, a light blue pattern running through it. His tie is dark, matching the suit and, as she watches, he pulls it loose, undoes the first couple of buttons of his shirt.

And if that wasn't enough to make Noelani's mouth water, next he takes off his jacket, unbuttoning the cuffs and rolling his sleeves up to the elbow. Which Noelani thinks really isn't playing fair, because he knows that forearms and rolled up sleeves are her kryptonite.

Then he smiles at her and all of a sudden she doesn't care about what he looks like and what he's wearing. All she cares about is that she's not in his arms at that exact moment in time and that seems like a crime. It's also something that she can rectify.

Moments later, her body is pressed against his, her arms around his waist and one of his hands on the back of her head, the other on her hip, sliding low. She's kissing him and he's kissing her back and she has a million and one questions but she thinks that they can wait. For now, this is perfect.

Of course, perfection can't last and Gordon pulls back, resting his forehead against hers. Uncharacteristically, he's the first one to speak. "Come home with me," he says and he doesn't need to ask her twice. Not that all their problems are over; she knows that. They have to wait for the results of the hearing, they have to figure out where they're going together, what they're doing next. But right here, rolled up sleeves and loosened necktie and passionate kisses, they're off to a pretty good start.
