Wednesday: Spin a record!
Jul. 19th, 2023 12:46 amHello, everyone. I’m
nagi_schwarz and today's theme is album titles! Prompts can be titles of any album.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and the fandom's full name
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above-mentioned spoiler cut.
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ BBC Sherlock, Sherlock Holmes + any, Oddinary (Stray Kids)
+ Stargate Atlantis, Rodney McKay +/ any, 5 Star (Stray Kids)
+ MI5|Spooks, Lucas North +/ any, No Easy (Stray Kids)
We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2023 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? You can use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.
While the use of LJ's advanced search options is available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching in the future.

Date: 2023-07-19 12:43 pm (UTC)Fill: Mistborn AU
Date: 2023-07-19 05:19 pm (UTC)He’d already used up all the health he’d stored. He was as vulnerable as any regular person now.
Jensen knelt beside him, tearing through his field kit for something to dress the wound.
“And I told you that Cougar and I were on it,” he said. If he yanked a little too hard on the bandage and made Pooch curse, oh well.
Rocque sighed and shook his limbs out. “I got this.” And suddenly he doubled in size.
Shouting sounded from outside the abandoned old saloon the team had taken cover in as Rocque literally walked through the wall, splintering wood in his wake.
“It’s a Misting!”
“Technically the term is Feruchemist,” Rocque drawled — and then a body slammed against the side of the building.
There were more shouts.
None of them were Rocque. He just laughed.
Jensen focused on patching up Pooch.
Some curses filled the air, the kinds of things Jensen had always been taught to never say to a lady, so Aisha must have joined the fight.
The only warning Jensen had was the slightest widening of Pooch’s eyes before a man drawled,
“Found you.”
Jensen sighed, raised his hands in surrender, and turned.
The thug standing behind them wore a roughs duster and had a pistol to hand. The pistol itself was cheap, and the thug’s clothes were threadbare. He smirked.
“Now, come real quietly.”
Pooch snorted. “Have you met Jensen? He can’t do anything quietly.”
“Whatever,” was Jensen’s less than witty retort. They had to keep the thug distracted.
After all, there were some things Jensen could do silently.
He and Cougar knew each other inside out, could tell from a breath or a glance what the other one needed.
No matter the distance.
So long as Cougar had his scope.
Jensen saw the faintest glint of glass and knew Cougar had his back.
Cougar would always protect him.
They’d always protect each other.
Jensen gave the signal, a the slightest, quietest hand sign. He burned zinc and then flared the thug’s emotions. The thug panicked.
Jensen dove, caught Pooch, and rolled them across the floor.
A shot rang out a moment later, and the thug dropped in a spray of blood and gore.
Pooch lay on the floor beneath Jensen, groaning. “I told you,” he said. “I told you it was a rusting trap.”
“Yeah, buddy, you told me. Now come on. Let’s catch up to the others and go home.”
Outside, the shouting had stopped. Rocque poked his head through the hole in the wall he’d made.
“Need a hand?”
“Need two,” Jensen said.
Together, they got Pooch to his feet, and the three of them hobbled out into the street. Clay was collecting aluminum bullet casings, because aluminum was expensive, and his crew didn’t exactly live the high life.
Cougar jumped down from his sniper perch and landed in front of Jensen. He said nothing, just patted Jensen down, and then, satisfied Jensen was in one piece, unholstered his pistol and took up rear guard.
Another day, another job well done, and Jensen and Cougar could go on home.
