It was alright for the maknae line to cry and show their sadness to the world. They were just kids and everyone knew that they were soft and emotional. It was part of their appeal. But RM was different. He was the leader and had to set an example. The world always needed to see him as strong and in control. Even when he wasn't. Especially when he wasn't.

He couldn't give the haters or the media an opening to criticize him or worse, his members. In public he had to be perfect at all times. An example for the whole industry to emulate or hate.

But at home, away from the prying eyes of people who loved him as well as those who would do anything to bring him down RM could let the feelings he kept bubble to the surface. He could be Namjoon and let the tears flow as he drowned in the sadness and worry of watching the people he cared for the most in the world leave his circle of protection.

Chloe Decker wasn't one for secrets. No, she spoke her mind, said her piece, and, if she deliberated over answering a question, it wasn't because she was thinking of a lie to cover it but more because she wanted to give a truthful answer.

Unfortunately, knowing Lucifer was the actual Devil made that a bit...difficult.

He'd say, in that plummy accent of his, that it didn't matter, that he was truthful too and never ever held back that he was the Devil. It was up to everyone else whether they believed him or not.

But Chloe didn't like saying things that weren't true...yes, he was definitely the Devil but people not believing her, that wasn't something she'd expected even if she probably should have.

Well, she could - would - have to live with it. It wasn't like Lucifer was going anywhere anytime soon.

This is very Chloe. I can absolutely see her not only wanting to be truthful, but also being uncomfortable with people not believing her when she was telling the truth about Lucifer.

The first time Timmy had dropped by the office unannounced Donald had raided his petty cash to get them delivery for lunch before an impromptu make out session.

These days though, Donald was in a better financial situation and could afford to treat his husband to a meal even if he did not have prior warning.

Though, if at all possible, Donald did try to recreate that make out session.

The Owl House, Edalyn Clawthorn + King, the first few days after she brings him home

Eda knows why she brought the little critter home - it just wasn't safe back on that weird island with that monster - demon? - axe-handed fiend? - running around loose. And she has to admit the little critter is kinda cute though she'll never say it out loud to anyone. Look at that little skull head and big yellow eyes and fluffy tail. Who wouldn't find that adorable, anyway?

Still, it's a definite change to her lifestyle. Eda hasn't really planned on pets, or kids, and Hooty, at least, is fairly self-sufficient. The little critter needs food and care and while Hooty's not terrible at being a babysitter, Eda's pretty sure he's useless at raising a...puppy-skull-demon-thing. At least the little critter seems to be house-trained and eats whatever food Eda plops in the dish.

She admits to herself it's kind of nice to have someone else in the house (someone besides Hooty because, well, Hooty and Owlbert is absolutely wonderful but doesn't really need her for anything except to release him from his staff). The little critter's happy to see her when she comes home from peddling her potions, bouncing around her feet; happier than a lot of folks have been to see Eda in a long time.

When the little critter makes a sound - not just a sound, but actually repeats a word Eda says - she startles. Maybe the little critter isn't an actual critter and definitely not a pet. With a name, King becomes so much more than what she expected...

Whether Eda really wants to take that on or not.
