He doesn't do jealousy.
It's a foolish thing, that particular emotion, all tied up in things you cannot have.
And he knows, if he offered, asked, even made some noncommittal comment, that Hardison and Parker would instantly, like, right now, say, "Yes, of course, please join us."
Because they're already all joined together in this weird thing they have as the Leverage team anyway, why not go all the way and continue it throughout every part of their lives?
So what's holding him back from reaching out, from the question, from one little move that'd let them know?
Because maybe him saying 'no' keeps them a little bit safer?
Because someone has to be willing to lay it all on the line to keep them protected?
And the way they are now, if something did happen to him, Parker and Hardison ought to be able to pick themselves up and move on...
Eliot doesn't do jealousy.
Heartache, on the other hand, he can nurse that all by himself.
