Well, we're coming to the end of the week and our last theme is... the Future! No, no, I don't mean a week or a year from today. I'm talking the Jetsons, or Firefly, or even post-apocalyptic "damned dirty apes" future. Think you can handle it? Show what you think is going to happen hundreds or thousands of years from now with your favorite characters/pairings.
As always, follow the rules:
Remember, please be kind and gentle to our codemonkeys by prompting correctly. (see above Planet of Apes reference? We do not want that on our hands. ;-) ):
As always, if you don't see anything that captures your interest please take a look at our lonely prompts.

As always, follow the rules:
* No more than three prompts from one fandom
* No more than five prompts in a row
* Keep spoilers out of the prompts until a week after air-date
* If your prompts get answered feel free to leave new ones
* Have fun and be nice! Remember to thank you ficprovider should your prompt get answered!
Remember, please be kind and gentle to our codemonkeys by prompting correctly. (see above Planet of Apes reference? We do not want that on our hands. ;-) ):
Leverage/Firefly, the team, "To the black"
Criminal Minds, Reid/Morgan, the hovercraft seems to be on the fritz again

Date: 2010-06-03 05:00 pm (UTC)"It's quite alright, Tony," Control gave his partner a fond smile- and yes, these days everyone could get married, and Control was the luckiest man in the world that Tony had accepted his heartfelt proposal. "I do enjoy listening to you."
"It seems to me, Control," Tony continued. "With all of this new technology, people have preferred to take 'short cuts'." He emphasized his point with air quotes.
"Indeed, Tony," Control nodded. "I must say I'm not very fond of 'short cuts'," he responded with airquotes of his own. "It would appear people don't seem to have the same drive to accomplish a task that they used to. May i ask, Tony, what brought this on?"
"You may ask, Control."
There was a comfortable silence between the two, before Control spoke.
"What brought this on, Tony?"
"I'm glad you asked, Control. You see, i was down at the break station just before coming to deliver you your coffee, and there was a line at the caffeine distributer. It seems you speak into this little speaker, tell them how you would like your coffee, and out it comes! It's awfully popular."
"Tony," Control said. "I did notice that you've never used it."
"You noticed correctly, Control," Tony said, holding out a steaming cup of coffee. It wasn't in a plastic covered top like the ones from the machine.
Control's expression lit up. "Thank you ever so much, Tony. But i must ask...where on earth did you get the ingredients? With all of this newfangled technology, and automatic coffee machines, the market for beans and milk has been something awful."
Tony just smiled, warm and affectionate, and the heat of Tony's coffee was heating his palms.
"The old fashioned way, Control," Tony murmured. "I made an investment, and held onto things that are precious to me."
For a moment, Control wanted to pull Tony close, but that would mean neglecting Tony's hard work and letting the coffee grow cold.
Any other man would have done such, and heated the coffee later.
Control was not any other man, so he sipped his coffee- strong, and sweet, and terribly old-fashioned.
Just like he liked.
