Hey, guys!  It's that time of the week for you to let your imaginations go wild with no restraints, other than keeping it legal... and possibly bending a few laws (*winkwink*).  As always, you only need to follow the rules:

No spoilers in your prompts for at least one week after publication/air date.

If there are spoilers in your story, you must warn in bold and leave at least 3 spaces.

No more than 5 prompts in a row, and no more than 3 prompts per fandom. If one of your prompts is answered, you can prompt again.

Respect our awesome code monkeys, and follow the standard format with your prompts. Like so:

Burn Notice, Michael/author's choice, standing on the edge

White Collar/Leverage, Neal/Eliot, playtime

If you don't see any prompts that tickle your fancy, please take a gander at our lonely prompts section here.

TGIF!

“Castiel, I need you. I’m in Laurence.” the dial-tone and the tight sound in Dean’s voice is enough to frighten Castiel. He is by Dean’s side before he even thinks about the strangeness of the call.

He appears behind Dean, who ‘s standing in the middle of the burnt out remains of his childhood home. He reaches out to touch Dean’s shoulder hoping to provide some comfort. It seems to work. Dean turns to him a bittersweet smile on his face. Then Castiel sees his eyes.

Castiel tries to escape, tries to disappear, but Dean is on him before he can. Dean clenches Castiel tightly against his chest, holding him still. His fingers rise up in front of Castiel’s eyes, pressing against his forehead. Blackness surges and he loses all sense of time.

When he regains awareness he is laying on a comfortable bed, under a warm blanket. Jimmy’s shoes and coat have been stripped off and he feels far more comfortable than he has felt since he first taken a Vessel. It feels almost like being home, but that makes no sense. He is not welcome in his home and even if he was, he would not be in Jimmy’s body.

Sitting up he looks around. The room is soft and homey. Its walls are covered with pale wood paneling and a fire crackles away inside a large fireplace. The floor is covered with thick, white carpeting. For all that on the surface it looks nothing like Zachariah’s holding cell, the fact that the room lacks a door and sigils decorate every surface, make it clear that Castiel will not be able to leave.

He is inspecting the walls for a weak point, desperately searching for a way to get back to Dean, when the sound of wings reaches his ears. He freezes at the sight of Dean standing in the middle of the room, his chin held high, and an air of arrogance surrounding him. Castiel shudders. He wants to be sickened by this pollution of Dean’s purity, but it looks right on him. It doesn’t look like he is being destroyed by Michael, it looks like he’s being enhanced. Which shouldn’t be possible.

Dean smiles at him, and it is so much more than it was, that Castiel feels his knees go weak. He would have hit the carpet if Dean hadn’t caught him, instantly appearing beside Castiel. “You need to be more careful, Cas”

“Dean?” Castiel’s voice quavered. He really wanted to believe that this was the human he fell in love with.

“Not quite.” Dean replied. He looked sheepish, but not guilty. “I’m Dean and Michael, our souls have begun to merge. It is a sign of the fact that Dean is my perfect vessel.”

Castiel couldn’t stop the wounded sound he let loose. Tears started trickling down his cheeks.

Dean carefully wipes them away, making soft shushing sounds. “It’s alright brother. You haven’t lost Dean. He is still here and he still loves you. I love you too. We don’t want you to be sad. You are our angel.”

Castiel can’t resist the comfort Dean is offering. He cuddles into Dean’s chest. “Why did he have to say yes?”

Dean sighs. “He hated seeing you and Sam hurt because of his own impotence. He was willing to merge with me in order to make sure Zacharias’ plans don’t come to fruition. Together we are going to stop the Apocalypse.”

Castiel tries to pull away from Dean.“Why are we here? If you are going to help us stop the apocalypse, we should find Sam before Lucifer has the chance.”

Pressing a kiss to Castiel’s brow, Dean cuddles him closer. “You’ve been asleep a long time, brother. Your grace was depleted beyond belief. You were lucky that you were still able to move, much less help stop the end of days. You are still weak and I’m going to have to insist that you stay here until you are fully recovered.”

“But you are alone. I should be with you. Lucifer is as strong as you are. You can’t fight him or the other archangels alone!” Castiel is filled with fear. If Michael was killed, then the last vestiges of Dean’s soul would be gone.

“You don’t need to worry about it Cas. I can handle everything. Now I have some things to deal with. If you’re good I’ll bring you back some of Gabriel and Raphael’s feathers.” After that worrying statement Dean disappeared, leaving Castiel alone in his gilded prison.

Hm. Now that would have been interesting to see on the show.
