Thursday - Title Day!
Oct. 28th, 2010 12:09 pmWhat a great week - you guys have all been fantastic! Sadly, it's my last day as host...but it's going to be a good one!
It's Thursday, and it's EPISODE/MOVIE TITLE DAY!
All those lovely episode and movie titles...plays and books, even. We've done it as a theme before on the comm and there's such a wide and varied range of ideas to choose from. If in doubt, check out the pages for TV shows on IMDB or Wikipedia or maybe take a quick look at your DVD shelves and bookcases.
Have fun, play nice, and it's been a pleasure hosting for you this week.
Now remember, m'dears, there are still those very important rules!
- No more than five prompts in a row, and no more than three per fandom. Remember, as soon as someone takes on one of your prompts, you can post another.
- No spoilers in your prompts for at least seven days after first air-date/release date; if there are spoilers in your fic, warn in bold in the subject line and leave at least three spaces.
- And please, please be kind to our codemonkeys because their job's difficult enough as is, and format your prompts correctly, like so:
Fandom, Pairing, Prompt
SPN, Castiel/Gabriel, Tabula Rasa
or
Fandom 1/Fandom 2, Character 1/Character 2, Prompt
SPN/Brimstone, Dean + Zeke, Hell-O
Happy prompting

Date: 2010-10-29 03:44 am (UTC)Dean thinks she's a seriously evil ghost (maybe a baen sidhe) and Zeke knows she's Molly Malone who covered the screams of her victims with her own opera-trained singing voice from 1673-1686.
They exchange stories while they clean up the scene, and Zeke almost attacks him until he realizes that Dean couldn't be one of the souls he's after because none of the sigils are burning.
"What's it like working for an angel?" Zeke asks over coffee.
"Well, cas is all right but the rest of them are total dicks." Dean said. "What's it like working for Lucifer?"
"He's a dick." Zeke said.
"Really Ezekiel, I'm not that bad." Lucifer said as he slid in next to them, stealing a piece of Dean's pie. "And you should respect what you've been given dean. Alastair's been most upset since you escaped, it wouldn't be too difficult to send your soul back while Michael takes you as a vessal."
"Vessel? What...?" Zeke asked before disappearing.
"Ah yes, I forgot there were little ears around. Listen Dean, just make it easy on everyone and say yes to Michael. you're only making it harder on yourself. If the need gets desperate enough he may just take you by force."
"You guys can't do that!" Dean said.
"Oh we can, but it weakens us considerably. " Lucifer wiped his face and stood up. "Don't take too long Dean-o, I'm not a patient man and Sam's time is running out."
Lucifer disappeared just as Zeke made his way back into the resteraunt.
"What was that about?" he demanded.
"The end of the world Dean said as he threw some money on the table and left.

Date: 2010-10-28 11:35 am (UTC)don't you cry no more - PG, Dean, gen, post-5.22
Date: 2010-10-28 02:22 pm (UTC)Dean sits at the edge of the hole, placing one hand on the cross. Sam dug him this grave, and Sam fashioned this cross, and Sam laid him to rest here. Sam always knew he’d come back. Sam always knew that goodbye wouldn’t last, Lilith’s hound and Lilith’s laugh.
But this time… Dean doesn’t know what to do. He made a promise to Sammy. Now he has to decide if that promise is as empty as his multiple graves.
He closes his eyes, listening for his baby brother’s voice, hoping that Sam is listening for him, too.

Date: 2011-01-20 07:46 pm (UTC)“No. I'm not asking. No. I'm just saying, it's all fine.”
It’s not fine, not even a little bit fine, in point of fact it was anything but fine.
It might have been fine, eventually, maybe, given enough time, if only Sherlock had managed to be just a little less magnificent. It’s hard to resist magnificence after all and John’s just an ordinary man standing in the shadow of greatness so no one could blame him for being swept away by the terrible tides of a madman’s genius.
One would think that after months of baking under the unrelenting heat of the Afghani sun, after living under constant threat of death and/or dismemberment, that John would seek out calmer companions, but Sarah had been a disaster of an attempt and there was just no point in lying more than he needed to.
“No. I'm not asking. No. I'm just saying, it's all fine.”
Sometimes the lies you tell are less frightening than the loneliness you might feel if you stopped telling them.

Date: 2010-10-28 11:42 am (UTC)Fill - Revenge In Blood (WARNINGS - dark fic, non-con, torture, bloodplay)
Date: 2010-10-28 02:29 pm (UTC)No matter what the saying was, revenge wasn't sweet, Meg thought as she took in the prize pinned underneath her.
No, revenge was the metallic scent of blood in the air, the coppery tang of it on the tip of her tongue as she licked a slow teasing line along the knife slash ahe'd just made on the angel's chest, and it was intoxicating.
"Please," Castiel plead, broken and desperate, just the way she'd wanted him.
"Not so high and mighty now, are you, Clarence?" she asked and dropped the knife from her hand to stroke Castiel's hardened cock through the fabric of his pants. Of course, there wasn't anything consensual about it on his part. Castiel's current state was only due to the spell she'd cast, but she didn't care. She wanted what she wanted, and she would have it.
She rolled her hips against his as she leaned down to the floor to pick up the knife again. The moan he gave, full of need, and the look on his pretty little face, full of humiliation and absolute disgust with himself, sent a shiver down her spine.
She cut his chest again and ground against him roughly as she sucked at the wound.
Maybe she'd make him red all over before this was through.

"No. Can't you wait, like..." A brief glance at the watch on the side table. "Another day or so. Off-base?"
"No."
"Are you sure you're not ill? Some strange bug you picked up from..."
"No."
A stare, followed by a longer one. "I don't believe it!" Two hands thrown up in the air. "It's a bloody cartoon!"
"So?"
"Huh?"
"Well, are you gonna train m..."
Hand on mouth, another sigh. "Please don't finish that sentence."
A muffled sentence beneath a pair of twinkling eyes, and a swipe of wet tongue against the warm palm over lips.

Castiel had always felt that Heaven was home. It was all the angel ever knew. Before he was ordered to rescue Dean from hell he had never actually been on Earth. He had never had a reason. He had seen the Earth, of course, just never actually been among his Father’s creations.
While he was on Earth, before he started to fall, Castiel didn’t really take much notice. He was worried more about the orders that he had been given
Once Castiel started his fall, his perspective of the planet and it’s people changed. The quiet in his head from being disconnected from his brothers and sisters was replaced by the sound of people, nature, and of all the things his Father had created. Even the Winchesters voices, that sometimes he could barely stand became a comfort to him. He didn’t know the name of the feeling the brother caused in him.
When Castiel returned to Heaven he felt trapped. It wasn’t that the heaven he had known had changed. It was that he had changed.
When he answer Dean’s prayer and was once again with the Winchesters, Castiel finally figured out what that feeling was.
It was deep needed belonging.
It was home.
Now if only he knew what to do with that information.
