Hi, everyone~ ^_^ Today's my last day, and I just want to thank you for having me and for writing so many wonderful prompts and fics this week. I hope you've had as much fun as I have. ♥♥♥
Today's theme: character substitution. Allow me to explain... One character from Fandom A is substituted into Fandom B as if they'd always been there -- there's no "home world" to which they can return. Now, this could mean that said Character X simply meets/knows someone/everyone in Fandom B, or Character X actually replaces Character Y and has their life and experiences.
...Um, I really hope that makes sense. 6^^;; It's basically a crossover combined with an AU. Only use Fandom A for a character (more than one would be too complicated), and keep their general appearance and personality. The universe and characters of Fandom B should essentially remain the same. ...Well, unless you wanna pull a It's a Wonderful Life / write a scenario where the entire chain of events changes b/c so-and-so is a completely different person and thus start an insane-but-epic novel-length retelling fic. *_* ...I think I just gave myself a chill. And a mini-heart-attack. x__X;; With this concept, it can be easy to dive in deep and make it very psychological. However, it's not necessary, especially considering the 4300-character limit for LJ comments an' all.
Some questions to ponder over: What would X's role be in this universe? How would X react in this situation? What kind of relationship would X have with Y or Z or etc?
A reminder of the rules:
+ No more than three prompts per fandom + No more than five prompts in a row + If one or more of your prompts is filled, you can then prompt again + No spoilers within prompts until a week after the airdate/release + For fics, warn for spoilers in bold and leave at least three spaces before the text
Also, for the sake of our fabulous coders, please remember to use the proper format for prompts. *** Look closely: the parenthetical phrase is a small addition needed just for this theme.
Examples:
For multiple fandoms / crossovers: Whitechapel/Inception, Chandler + Arthur, (Chandler is added) he taught Arthur everything he knows about suits Alias/Leverage, Sark + the team, (Sark is the mark) Nate knows his reputation; Sophie and Parker each want to get back at him for something Devil May Cry/Constantine, Vergil + or / Constantine, (Vergil replaces Balthazar) Hell on Earth would only be the beginning Harry Potter/X-Men, John/Cedric, (Cedric replaces Bobby) he's the most popular guy in school and on the fast-track to becoming an X-Man; no one could understand how John is the only thing that matters to him
