Hello hello! I’m [livejournal.com profile] canonisrelative and today's theme is First and/or Last Lines. The prompter will provide a first and/or last line — can be dialogue or prose — which the filler has to use to start and/or end the story. The middle is up to you! If prompting two lines, separate them with ellipses. If prompting only one line, label it as first or last, or leave it unlabeled and its placement wil be up to the filler!

Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and fandom's full name for ease adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above mentioned spoiler cut.

Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt

Some examples to get the ball rolling...

+ Any, Any, It was a dark and stormy night. ... And they lived happily ever after.

+ Any Star Trek, Any, S/he definitely didn’t have clearance to be on this deck in the middle of the night, but curiosity got the better of him/her. ... Now how was s/he going to explain this to the captain?

+ Elementary, Sherlock Holmes +/ Joan Watson, “I have to say, that is not the first thing I expected to smell when I woke up today.” ... If she ever wrote a book about her work with Holmes, she was definitely going to leave that part out.

+ Any, Any, First line: He stepped through the door, trying to look like he knew what the hell he was doing.

+ MCU, Natasha Romanoff +/ Laura Barton, Last line: “Try not to miss me too much.”

We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2022 collection. See further notes on this new option here.

Not feeling any of today’s prompts? Check out the just created Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet. For more recent prompts to write, you can also use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.

While the Lonely Prompts Spreadsheet and LJ's advanced search options are available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching for in the future.
