Sup everyone, still [livejournal.com profile] firefox1490 ending my round of hosting duties. Ending out my duties with some less than happy decisions and/or outcomes, today's theme is:

Failures, you know that thing you were suppose to do that ended up being a total FUBAR. Failures are failures no matter how big or small. The real question is do we regret them.

Please forget the rules:
* Three prompts per fandom, and no more than five total. If one of your prompts is filled, you may post another.
* No spoilers for new shows/seasons until at least one week after airing.
* If your fill do contains spoilers, please warn accordingly and leave enough space for people to pass by.

To help the hardworking codemonekys please format your prompts as such:

Inception, Arthur, How he missed that Fisher was militarized was eating him up on the inside.
House MD, Wilson, Three ex wives, two dead girlfriends and enough UST to choke on with his best friend, where did he go wrong?
Sailor Moon, Usagi, It wasn't suppose to be this way.

If nothing strikes your fancy feel free to check out the lonely prompts, they always need a bit more love.

Brendan stood next to the closed casket. Shoulders slightly hunched, clenched fist crushing the stem of the flower. The red still came up, blind-sided him when he wasn't staking it out. So much crap had gummed up the works he was lucky the bulls weren't on to his own role in this, but then not surprised -- they only knew the end of it when it was already duck soup.

The Pin. Tug. Poor Frisco.

Forget Poor Frisco. Forget Dode. They were reefworms; deserved to get what they got.

Laura. He was glad, now, he'd gone with his gut instead of his head. Glad he hadn't let her find another scape. Glad that if he couldn't raise Em, he'd found a way to raise payback.

Em. She'd been fed a line she couldn't help but swallow and then they'd had their hooks in her.

You're the only one who didn't know how this would end, Em. The rest of us were playing our angles, working toward payoff.

Brendan straightens a little, loosened his grip enough to lay the single bent daffodil on the polished bark. It says things he doesn't know how to say, words that aren't too short, too blunt, too violent -- they don't exist in his vocabulary.

Awesome prompt, btw! It was cool that it was author's choice for fandom! =D

This is very cool :) I'd imagine it's tough to capture Brendan's voice but oyou do so beautifully :) And what a great little nod at all aspects of the movie.

Oooooh, thank you so much! I love this movie so much and the distinct language is such a huge part of that. I was concerned about getting the feel as close as I could, but also not just inserting the lingo for its own sake. So, I really appreciate your comment! <3

oh man, this is so great - brendan's voice is bloody perfect. short and sweet, i love how you open and close with descriptions of brendan's posture, that was a really nice touch. Love the last line to death. i want moore of brendan's voice from you!!!! but it packs more of a punch this way, so i understand.

of course, there is that other way of hearing his voice again, a tried and true way... good thing i know someone with the dvd!

I was worried that might be the case, but thank you for the kind words! If you get a chance to see it, I highly recommend it!
