Friday - Free For All
Feb. 25th, 2011 08:41 amHey, guys! Happy weekend! Let's kick it off as usual with our Free For All theme, aka no theme whatsoever.
Just please remember to follow all the rules.
No more than 5 prompts in a row, no more than 3 prompts per fandom. If someone answers a prompt you may prompt again.
No spoilers in your prompts for at least 1 week after the original air/publication date. If your response contains spoilers, please warn in bold and leave at least 3 spaces.
Please format your prompts correctly. For example:
Note: Please take the monkeys into consideration when writing your prompt. If the prompt is too long, it becomes very hard to record it properly in the archive. Fics are also meant to be comment sized! If you get very inspired, that's ok, but long detailed prompts deserve long detailed stories, and that's not what we're about. Thank you! Date: 2011-02-25 03:49 pm (UTC)Out of the corner of his eye, Tommy stares blankly at the crowd in 2D, framed in black and glass. Steve concentrates on the trees in his line of sight, doesn't dare look down to the polished wood in front of him. He thinks bitterly to himself that if Brandon had been there to help, taken the time to look around him and realize the world was going to shit, had just done his duty as ordered... everything would be different.
Steve's vision blurs over as he helps fold the flag; he takes the few steps to Jeanie, hugging the fabric to his chest. He passes it into her arms and the words the Army wrote well up from him, jagged broken shards of emotion he doesn't want to feel right now. The chasm of grief inside him is lined with anger, that this could have been prevented.

Date: 2011-02-25 03:27 pm (UTC)Reid began to fasten them one at a time, only occasionally letting his fingers brush Jennifer's skin. The silk was warm under his hands, and the buttons became almost hot, as if alive, as he crossed her back to her spine and up. Jennifer swept her hair away as he crept higher, the fine strands tickling his hands and almost making him falter.
He took a moment to breathe and continued, resting his hands on her shoulder as he finished the last button. She turned slowly and he let his hands glide over the silk to the few remaining buttons at the front where the dress' neckline plunged daringly. He gently tugged the fabric together, smiling a little as it framed her body beautifully. Reid only did up a few more buttons before pausing, enjoying the effect of her skin against the dark red fabric.
Jennifer breathed deeply, and Reid could feel her taut muscles moving under the beautiful silk. She let him drink his fill of her with his eyes and hands, the movement of the dress carrying his touch along her body.
Then, with exquisite tenderness, he unbuttoned every single pearl, and opened her up like a flower. Jennifer only smiled as she turned towards him as if towards the light.

Date: 2011-02-26 01:39 am (UTC)Moriarty was standing next to him complaining about the state of his own body but Sherlock ignored him. Moriarty was no longer a threat and as such, no longer Sherlock's problem.
"Who are you?" Moriarty said suddenly.
Sherlock turned to deliver a scathing remark but stopped short when he saw the Skeleton.
Now this was really interesting. ignoring the little warning bells going off in his head he began poking at the skeleton, lifting the edge of it's robes to see if he could figure out how it managed to stay upright with no muscles or ligaments.
"DO YOU MIND?" Asked the skeleton in an annoyed tone.
"Brilliant, how do you talk without lungs or trachea or voicebox?" He asked grinning excitedly.
"MAGIC." The skeleton said dryly.
Then it did a double take.
"YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO BE HERE."
"Rubbish. I was blown up."
"AND YOU SURVIVED. DAMN, YOU'RE GOING TO BE ONE OF THOSE ANNOYING, NEAR-DEATH CASES AREN'T YOU? AS IF I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH TROUBLE WITH RINCEWIND."
Death sighed and pulled out a pencil.
"NAME."
"Sherlock Holmes."
Death dropped the pencil and put it's head in it's hands.
"NOT ANOTHER ONE." It moaned. "I SHOULD JUST ASK SUSAN TO DEAL WITH ALL OF YOU. THEN YOU WOULDN'T GO AROUND HAVING SO MANY NEAR-DEATH EXPERIANCES."
"Hello, I'm still here." Said Moriarty snottily.
Without even glancing at him Death swung his scythe and sent Moriarty on to his afterlife.
"Who's Susan?" Sherlock asked.
"MY GRANDDAUGHTER." Death said proudly.
He looked up and to the side.
"I SUPPOSE THIS IS GOODBYE FOR NOW."
"What..?" and then Sherlock felt a jolt of pain go through his chest.
"Sherlock? Sherlock can you hear me?"
There is color again.
John's eyes are the same shade of blue as Sherlock's favorite mug and how has he never noticed that before.
"Hello John. I hope you haven't let that moron Anderson poke around the crime scene." Sherlock said in a thin voice, grimacing in annoyance when they stopped him from pulling out the HEPLOCK.
"He'll be fine." John said, turning to the other doctors with a smile.
From the corner of his eye Sherlock sees a robed figure but when he turns to look it is only a shadow on the wall.
Death sighs as it turns away.
"HE'S GONNA BE ONE OF THOSE LIFETIMES, BINKY."
