And so the day you've been waiting for is here: the Friday Free for All. All fandoms, characters, and prompts are accepted today.

Just please remember to follow the usual rules:

No more than 5 prompts in a row, no more than 3 prompts per fandom. If someone answers your prompt you may prompt again.

No spoilers in your prompt until at least 1 week after the original air/publication date. If there's a spoiler in your response, you must warn in bold and leave at least 3 spaces.

Please remember to format your prompts correctly, and keep them to an appropriate length. For example:
Castle, Rick/Alexis, face it - this isn't the worst thing you've caught me doing
Burn Notice, Fiona, better uses for soap

Dollhouse/Leverage, Topher/Hardison, complicated bit of coding
Justified/Wanted, Raylan, curve the bullet

Can't find a prompt to your liking? There's plenty of good ones hiding in the Lonely Prompts. Just keep in mind -- this weekend is a contest!

Happy weekend. :)

SPOILERS FOR LATEST EPISODE OF CASTLE

Castle/Beckett

He didn't even hesitate, didn't even think twice, informing Beckett he had never seen that movie. He had of course, seen it so many times he could quote the dialog right alongside the actors without missing a beat, but the look on Beckett's face was well worth the lie.

The playful excitement on her face and in her voice as she insisted that he accompany her- her treat no less, was worth the slight stab of conscience as he lied to her. Her happiness overwhelmed it handily and was so contagious, he couldn't stop what he knew had to be a stupid, silly grin from being plastered on his face as they entered the elevator.

He would have to be careful, make sure that he didn't start quoting during the film, or eagerly pointing out his favorite parts just before they happened.

He had thought he had accomplished this very well.

They were sitting in one of Castle's favorite all night diners, after he managed to coax her into joining him. It seemed she wasn't any more eager to see the night end than he was, considering how quickly she had agreed despite telling him that dinner after the movie was pushing it when they had left the station.

"'Fess up Castle...how many times have you seen Forbidden Planet?" She asked him after taking a small sip of coffee.

"What? I've never seen it before. Always meant to, but never got around to it..." he tried, offering her his best innocent look as his mind was racing over the evening trying to pinpoint where he might have given it away.

"Don't give me that. You were mouthing half of the lines before they were delivered."

"Were you paying more attention to me than the movie, Detective Beckett?" Castle interrogated with an easy grin while his stomach flipped over. He had been caught. But Beckett was grinning.

"I'm glad you came with me," she admitted.

"Me too," Castle replied, stomach settling. She wasn't upset at his lie. "A lie is a man's best and surest friend," he quoted, looking at her intently.
