Date: 2011-05-28 08:05 pm (UTC)The air in the freezer felt cold enough to burn his lungs, but Castle felt his core slowly turn warm: a sure sign of hypothermia, as he'd learned from a doctor whom he'd often tapped for medical information. This caused him, instinctively and despite the fog that filled his brain, to pull Beckett closer, protectively, hoping she could feel some of the warmth. If they ever got out of here, alive, and if she would have him, he would do the right thing by her.

Date: 2011-04-01 06:55 pm (UTC)"I got the situation in hand Danno. Quit bitching, will you?"
"Excuse me, what? We're stuck in a basement, man! I've actually been handcuffed with my own handcuffs! Our man has probably fly away by now -and I mean that litteraly, with a real plane."
"I just have to... free my hands."
"Are you even listening to me?"
"Are you still bitching?"
"Yes!"
"Then no, I'm not listening to you. Help me with this!"
"What? I can't see a thing, what is it?"
"That - take that. You got it?"
"Yeah, yeah that's... a nail. That's your great plan. Terrific."
"Now if you're done whining, please?"
"Terrific..." Danny grunted again, doing his best to reach the handcuff's lock. God he hated his partner sometimes.
(ps: I've only seen 7 episodes so far XD I hope it's okay)

Date: 2011-04-10 10:01 pm (UTC)In the kitchen he silences Spencer with delicious food. It's a joy to see the way Spencer's entire body relaxes over that first mouthful.
In the living room he silences Spencer with a new 16th century Portugese manuscript he may or may not have stolen from a tyrant's private library.
In the bath he silences Spencer with more kisses and running the washcloth across Spencer's body to reaquaint himself with every curve.
Only in the bedroom is Elliot the one being silenced.
Spencer using his every trick to leave Elliot breathless and wanting. He silences Elliot's final shout with a kiss.
For awhile it's quiet afterwards until Spencer starts talking about how much he missed Elliot and how he worries when he can't reach Elliot on the phone.
It's as close as they ever really come to talking about their jobs and the fact that Spencer should have arrested Elliot as soon as he found out about Elliot's past.
They live with the fear that one day Spencer's job will come into direct conflict with Elliot's past. But it's a silent, unspoken fear.

Date: 2011-04-01 07:10 pm (UTC)One of the trash bins stopped and adjusted its facial plunger to get a better look a Gabriel. The light on top of its head started to flash.
“EXTERMINATE!” it shouted at Gabriel, he stared at it not sure of what it was about to do when a bright white blue light shot out of what appeared to be an egg beater. It hit Gabriel with full force in the chest.
He looked down at his chest; there was a hole in his shirt now. He frowned as he took another bite from his chocolate bar.
“I really liked that shirt,” he said as he snapped, the shirt with the smoking hole disappeared and a new shirt took its place, “Oh well” he shrugged and looked back up at the trash can, its light was flashing faster.
“EXTERMINATE!” it shouted again preparing to fire again.
“Like I’m going to let that happen again” Gabriel snapped his fingers and the trash bin blew into several hundred pieces falling with a loud crash.
He walked up to the rest of the empty shell of what was once a dalek. He looked inside at the goopy remains. He wondered if it had been some type of sentient alien, it didn’t really matter either way. He looked up; all the other daleks were floating down to exterminate him. He watched them for a second or two before he was bored of watching flying trash bins.
He snapped. All of the daleks in the room exploded into hundreds of chunks of metal raining down around him. He ignored the pieces as they fell; he was already bored of them. He finished his chocolate bar and threw the wrapper on to the ground with the wasted daleks. He rubbed his hands together and walked around, he looked out of a porthole and noticed that he was on a space ship; he shrugged and zapped himself back to Earth.
A big blue box wheezed its way into existence not three feet from where Gabriel had been standing staring at the Earth. A strange man popped his head out and looked at the chaos. He furrowed his brows trying to figure out what could kill daleks like this, he opened the door farther and stepped out. He walked through the rubble until he saw the wrapper among the remains of hundreds of daleks. He knew what he was dealing with now; a very different type of angel than he was used to dealing with.

Date: 2011-04-02 02:22 am (UTC)They met somewhere in the middle.
It was push and pull, crashing from wall to floor, scratching and biting, hissing and grunting, grasping desperately at one another as their bodies gyrated, bruises and marks in the dark, hidden basement where no one can see them.
It was hard and unforgiving, falling and rising, bitter and sweet...and when it was over they were both breathless, averting their eyes as they reassembled themselves into something that resembled who they were trying to be.
There was a promise in the air as they parted, a vow that they wouldn't...never again. One time, one night...two souls in need of something no one else would understand.
She left through the door into the LA underground. He took the stairs.
They had a battle to see to.

Date: 2011-04-02 02:04 am (UTC)It was the great mystery of the Academy that they continued to request to room together year after year, when they could have traded or even gotten single rooms by that point. Even so, only the wildest and most unlikely barroom speculation would have put the two of them in bed together.
That was the truth of it, however, had been since their second week at the school. Uhura was entranced by how different she was, from the green skin to the relaxed way she lived her life. And Gaila? She enjoyed the challenge of keeping the prickly and very tense woman pleased.
They had a system, one they never would have admitted to wanting or enjoying. Uhura could always be counted on to study extra-hard when Gaila needed the reminder, and Gaila saved her most outrageous stunts for when Uhura was too stressed to think straight and needed the outlet of a fight and a fuck. No one ever suspected, so Uhura's perfect reputation remained firmly intact, and they had long since agreed that they were nonexclusive and very decidedly not serious. It saved them a lot of pain and tears and heartbreak
It wasn't until Uhura saw the rubble that was all that remained of the rest of the Academy that she realized how much more Gaila had meant, and that she would now never have a chance to say so.

Being Human US, Aidan/other, ashes and time
Date: 2011-04-01 09:41 pm (UTC)Aidan remembered timepieces as a mark of wealth and comfort - when there was perhaps one mantle clock in the parlour and the rest of the household ran on sunlight through curtains and hourglasses. He remembered the crash of a thin glass vessel dropped on his mother's clean floor, the empty wooden frame letting seconds sift out like a tiny beach.
He remembered everything with painful clarity, despite his best efforts to convince himself it might not be unconscionable to forget.
He lowered his arms and felt ashes slither down his jacket like broken time, ending a lover whose time had run out the moment she came to his hands. The quiet, insipid hiss of tiny particles measured out far too little compared to the woman he'd been holding, like trading gold for straw.

Date: 2011-04-01 11:50 pm (UTC)"Especially not the guy from corporate!" Mike yelled.
"I said I was sorry. And I explained to him that it only happened because his ass is very, very spherical!"
Lester offered his support: "Jeff! You have offended a powerful man! Now I must clean up your mess by doing an impromptu serenade to his buttocks to reassure him that they are appropriately shaped!"
"Thanks, man," Jeff said.
Morgan was about to stop Lester, but instead he had to throw himself on Big Mike's back to prevent him from strangling Jeff, so there was no one preventing Lester from warbling these lines to the VP:
"I can see you are a man of dignity and class,
Won't you find it in your heart to give Jeff a free pass?
This can't be the first time you've had a fist go in your ass.
Wait, I don't mean "in" obviously, more like "on." Toward your ass, really. The cheek, we all saw it, Jeff punched in your cheek.
Anyway.
I know Jeff said your rear is plump and round like a ball,
But Jeff's so drunk he hardly can see anything at all,
So don't get your Brooks Brothers panties in a twist,
Your ass is plenty flat, even too flat, I insist."
