Rare, unlikey and odd pairings
May. 12th, 2011 08:35 amToday's theme is going to be rare, unlikely and odd pairings. Like a pairing that doesn't seem to be very popular? This prompt is to give those rare, unlikely and odd pairings some love. The prompt can be whatever you would like, it just needs to feature a pairing that is not canon or all that popular in the fandom community, crossover pairings are welcomed. Serious or crack prompts, it is up to you.
I have had a great time hosting this week and hope you all have had fun as well :)
To make it easy on our hardworking code monkeys, please format your posts like so:
Castle, Esposito/Martha, "Mom, how could you?"
or
House, Wilson/Cuddy, all the wrong reasons
or
Big Bang Theory, Raj/Penny, it is better because he doesn't speak

Date: 2012-02-23 06:40 am (UTC)She's twenty-nine today, and Gibbs will never see her children, his grandchildren. She's twenty-nine, and DiNozzo's forty-three, and both of his brats are going to leave him to molder alone in old age.
Gibbs is sixty today. He's held off as long as he can. They're going to retire him to be alone with his boat. His daughter's dead, and the only man Gibbs trusts to marry her is going to die a good cop and lonely.
Gibbs is sixty today, and the man who he wishes were his son-in-law has blood on his teeth.

Date: 2011-05-13 01:35 pm (UTC)The club was dark and pretty seedy, existing for only one purpose, Jack knew there was a lot of military here, they always held themselves in a certain way, which is why he stood out so much. He was trained, almost military but not quite, police with maybe a little bit extra, but the thing that was most important to Jack was that he was that odd mix between military and civilian, just what he looked for in the crowd.
Tony didn't hunt here much, usually satisfied himself with meaningless female hookups until the itching beneath his skin became to much and he sought out the harsh touch that he craved. He always knew what it was, who it was, he looked for in the crowd. NCIS made him just as adept as any military man for spotting one of them, and he scanned the faces looking for that spark, or more truthfully, a certain amount of grey in the hair.
They spot each other at almost the same moment, eyes meeting across the smoky room and the continued gaze is all they need, they converge at the back exit, standing close for the first time in the cold air of the alley.
They don't speak, there's nothing to say. Jack opens his pants and Tony kneels in front of him, his loosened pants pooling around his knees and cushioning them. He puts one hand to work on himself even as he slides his mouth down the length of Jack's dick.
He's gentle, not a lot of them are, they like to grip his hair, to fuck his mouth, leave him with bruises and pain. This one strokes him though, hands soft on his face, smoothing over his hair and when he thrusts he does it gently, shallow jerks of his hips. It makes it easier for Tony to imagine, to see another man over top of the one he is not his knees before, because Gibbs may be firm but he would never be cruel.
Tony rushes himself towards the edge, he doesn't like to stick around after, a lot of them get mean, but he might be beaten to the punch by the old guy, he seems to be on a hair trigger, hips thrusting jerkily.
He comes a few moments after Tony does, biting out a name above him that's lost in the rush of blood in his ears.
He helps Tony up from the ground and smiles at him, and that's it. They do up their pants and walk away, no one here was looking for love, just a replacement.

Date: 2011-05-15 12:25 am (UTC)"You're very beautiful like that Evelyn," he once said.
And she thought, I could love this man.
He made love like he was praising at an altar. Wrote prayers on her skin with his mouth. Made her shudder and arch. Kissed the inside of her knee and memorized all her scars. Ted Winters treated her like gold. When they were alone.
She knew there were protocols. She knew there were reasons why he couldn't give her any public sign. But still she looked. She looked in his eyes for signs of his devotion and found them blank.
Evelyn thought she could love Ted Winters.
But she didn't.
When she met Mike, everything changed. Mike was clumsy, faulty, and real. Mike was devoted, but he didn't worship her. He prayed to the god of science, but he loved Evelyn. And when she looked in his eyes that meant everything.
Mike erased the prayers and sacrifices that bound her to Ted. Mike made them feel inconsequential and hollow in the face of his simple love. So she turned her back on Ted. She gave him hollow stares and meaningless words. She turned back his prayers and left him.
If Ted made her feel like a goddess, Mike made her feel human.
And above all, oh how Evelyn wanted to feel human. With both Mike and Ted dead now, she's not sure where that leaves her any longer. Somewhere between mortal and immortal. Alive and dead. Real and fiction.
