Týsdagr: Dictionary Definitions

Hello, everyone! This is ravenspear , signing on for another day of guest hosting!

Today, our theme will be Dictionary Definitions, which means that your prompt has to be the dictionary definition of a word (without noting the word itself). If you don't have a dictionary lying around, then Dictionary.com to the rescue!

As always, please abide by the rules:

♦ Post no more than five prompts in a row, and don't post more than three prompts for a single fandom. If someone fills a prompt of yours, you can then prompt again.
♦ There's to be no spoilers in prompts until a week from air/publication dates.
♦ If your fill contains spoilers, then please label it clearly and leave enough spaces for people to scroll on by.

And please format your prompts in the fashion that is pleasing to our beloved simian overlords.
Example:

Supernatural; Jimmy/Adam/Nick; a domestic arrangement in which three people having sexual relations occupy the same household.

Firefly/Battlestar Galactica; River/Leoben; having a beauty that appeals to the heart or mind as well as to the eye.

"Defenestration. Now those were good times. Have you ever been to Prague in the spring?"

Sam eyed Gabriel suspiciously from behind his laptop screen. "You caused the Thirty Years' War?"

"And the Crusades. But that was totally by accident."

"So basically you just like religious persecution in all its glory?"

Gabriel tutted. "Sam, I didn't do the persecuting. I just helped out with the defenestration. Mostly because it's a fun word to say. Defenestration. See, a riot! Literally, as it turned out."

Sam sighed. It was easy to forget, behind the playful exterior, that Gabriel was an expert in chaos. "Promise me--" he tried to think of something that he could reasonably expect Gabriel to do. "Promise me you won't prank anybody who doesn't deserve it."

Gabriel touched his chin thoughtfully. "Is a snake in Dean's bed okay?"

Sam shrugged. "Just a little one."
