Wednesday: Flight!

comment_ficGreetings! Today, our prompt will be Flight! Get your characters into the air - I don't care if they're in a plane, using their own wings, hang-gliding or just plain hot-air ballooning, your goal today is to get your characters up and off the ground.
Here's your reminder about the rules:
> Post no more than five prompts in a row, and don't post more than three prompts for a single fandom. If someone fills a prompt of yours, you can then prompt again.
> There's to be no spoilers in prompts until a week from air/publication dates.
> If your fill contains spoilers, then please label it clearly and leave enough spaces for people to scroll on by.
Finally, please format your prompts like so, for our beloved code monkeys.
Examples:
> Supernatural, Dean/any angel, "I'll grant you wings for a day."
> Jeeves & Wooster, Jeeves/Bertie, Boats? Fine. Cars? Even better. Aeroplanes? Absolutely not, Mr Wooster.

Sam had always wanted to fly. Dean may have been terrified of getting his feet off the ground but then his brother had always loved the motions of the Impala. That's not to say Sam didn't appreciate it because he loved their car too, just not quite as much as Dean did.
No, Sam loved flying. The idea had always captivated him and when he was kid he would sometimes stick his head out the Impala window, let the wind whip through his air and pretend.
So when Gabriel made the offer, as flippant as if he were talking about snapping up a plate of pancakes, Sam could only stare.
"Don't look so shocked Sam." Gabriel with a cocked brow. "Giving you a pair of working wings is not exactly a hardship on me. Granted they won't be real and you can't keep them but they'll work for a fly or two."
Sam didn't know how Gabriel knew (duh, angel, he thought he heard) but he wasn't about to turn the guy down. "Alright, yeah. That'd be...amazing." He knew he was grinning like an idiot but Gabriel only shook his head with a small smile of his own and snapped.

"What the hell you doin'?" Dean groans.
"I'm not entirely sure," Castiel admits, "but it seems to be a gesture of comfort." He pets a little more, provoking another wave of nausea when Dean tries to jerk away from the touch and thereby nearly hits his head against the sink in the tiny stall.
"Dude, I''ve got no hair you could hold out of my face, OK? Stop i-- oh my God."
Dean retches again when the plane gives a slight jolt. Holding the toilet lid in a death grip, his knuckles stand out stark white. It matches the paleness of his face that highlights his freckles. Castiel's momentarily distracted by wondering if he's appalled or enthralled. It's hard to say sometimes, with humans.
"Are you finished?" Castiel asks when he notices Dean's finally heaving dry. "Can we fornicate now?"
"No!" Dean shouts hoarsely.
"I don't understand."
"I'm afraid of flying, in case you didn't notice, makes me fucking sick, so, damn Cas, zip your pants up and us out of this death trap, like NOW!"
Wrinkling his forehead, Castiel says "that would be flying too."
"Not flying, just the… tipping the forehead-Enterprise-beaming thing you do."
"Flying, then."
Resting his sweaty white cheek on the hand grasping on the toilet seat, Dean blinks exhaustedly. "I didn't need to know that."
"Well, how did you think I do it?" Castiel cocks his head, staring down at Dean in honest wonder.
Dean shrugs and slowly gets up, tips of their noses nearly touching in the confined space. "Whatever. Get me out of here or I swear fornicating's off the menu for a long, long time."
Sighing inwardly, the angel touches Dean forehead to distract the human from the sensation of taking off and hurries the fuck up to prevent Dean from vomiting all over his beloved trenchcoat, the ungrateful little shit.
Humans, really.
