Our last prompt this week is trust. Newly gained, broken, renewed or always there – whatever works for you.
Here's your reminder about the rules:
* Only one prompt per comment, three prompts per fandom, and five prompts per day. If someone fills a prompt of yours, you can then prompt again.
* No spoilers in prompts until a week from air/publication dates.

It wasn't like the bullet did much damage, and he played off as it not having even hit him. There’s no reason for Peter to be so angry.
Methos had never been this difficult. Methos had taught him to survive, at any price, and hadn't expected anything but a head's-up if he ever decided to go hunting. Not that Methos would be an option, if he did; he preferred easy prey. Methos knew all his tricks, and Neal was smart enough to realize the Old Man hadn’t shared half of his.
Neal had loved Methos. He can own up to that now, decades after the fact. Methos knew it, too; said that all students hero-worship their teachers for a time. Just until the glow wears off.
But Neal loves Peter. Enough to stay. Enough to endanger his own safety. Enough to sit on the porch and wait for Peter to let him back in.
He sighs. Methos would have only one question: is he worth it, child?
And yeah. Peter really is. Neal can wait.

All people ever see is the good, the man who fights for humanity because there is no one else to do it. The honourable man in the blue box, they never see his dark side, how truly horrifying it can be.
Every day people trust him with their lives and every time it never seizes to amaze him how easily they do. He’s not a man and he’s not a god, he’s a time lord and even time lords make mistakes, it’s only a matter of time before his mistakes claims a life.
