In about 12 days it will be the 50th Anniversary of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s I Have a Dream speech given from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC. in front of nearly 300,000 people. The speech was also broadcast to a large radio and television audience so hundreds of thousands of more people heard and watched if they couldn't or didn't want to be there.
It's been 45 years since King was assassinated at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee.
He was only 39 years old. If he was still alive, he'd be 84 years old.
I wonder what he would think of our Nation today...of the world today...of the wars going on in Egypt, Iraq, Afghanistan...just the whole conflict going on in the Middle East.
