With Good characters acting bad, & Bad characters acting good, would we be talking personality transplants? Alternative reality versions of our favs? Spells and enchantments? Mind control? ...or is this just who these people are on their days off from saving/destroying the world?
Maybe a good plan goes bad, and suddenly your Good guys have hostages...
Maybe a bad plan goes good, and suddenly your Bad guys have rescued that cliche bus of school children from falling over a cliffside...
Doesn't matter, just have fun.

"I mean, what if you went bad? Like you started hurting people right and left? Who would stop you?" The Doctor does pull out from under the machinery then with a frown on his face. He thinks for a moment before answering.
"I would hope that you and my other friends would stop me."
"But, Doctor, we're your friends, we could never hurt you." Amy says pitfully
"Yes, I know," The Doctor replies in a resigned tone, "but if I ever start to hurt people...I know that my friends are going to cut me down and end those people's suffering, because, I'm their friend."

But when his attention had been brought to the odd effects that the Verut plant had on animals and humans alike, well, he just had to test it out.
Right?
He and Dr. Porter had a bit of a relationship. They had the same goals and if they had some good ideas how to gain that, well, why not be partners? It was a brilliant idea.
And why not him in charge? Alison didn't seem to care. But if he was running things... wow. Things would be so much better.
Especially with Evan Lorne at his side. He truly did love the Major, but he wasn't sure how to broach this subject to him. He was ever so loyal, which was a great trait, but not when you were trying to overthrow the leadership that he was already loyal too.
So, David started easy, gaining his loyalty then giving him a bloom from the Verut. Evan was now his to control.
It wasn't ideal, but so few things were in life.
Once he had the Major, well, he had to continue, right?
Soon enough, everyone but Alison had fallen under his control. She approved and started getting busy with her own plans (with his approval, of course) for their new Empire.
David had to admit, it was rather nice to be King.

“Indeed.” The Death Eater reached into his clock, withdraw a cloth bag, and passed it to Fred. “See that you continue to be so helpful, to design and produce according to our specific requirements, and our funding of your enterprise will continue.”
“And you’ll continue ignoring our family, right?” said George.
“With your father in the Ministry and an elder brother starting work there as well I understand…”
Fred paused in counting the galleons in the bag. He and George exchanged a look.
“Our family and our business. We told you, that’s all we care about and we care about both of those things,” said George fiercely.
“So,” continued Fred, “the family stays safe or this deal is over.”
“A tall order.”
He sounded almost amused and Fred found himself reaching for his wand with his free hand. George stopped him by grabbing his wrist.
“I also have a tall order, it seems,” said the Death Eater. “Refrain from impertinence and do as you’re told.”
He turned and strode out the alley without waiting for a reply.
“In for a knut, in for galleon,” George muttered.
“Yeah, but if we can pull it off…” Fred smiled. “Family safe, our own successful business, can you imagine it?”
“Yeah,” said George. “Yeah, I can.”

After first contact, Matthew and Benjamin return to the island. Benjamin tucks himself into his bed and tries not to remember the years before the asset, when he was Steve’s. He spends three days and nights curled up beneath the thick blankets Matthew provided when he realized how sensitive Benjamin was to chilled air.
On the fourth morning, Benjamin goes downstairs to Matthew’s war room, settles into his chair, and asks, “What next, brother?”
He is no longer the asset; he does not crave purpose anymore. But he owes Matthew; he loves Matthew the way Bucky Barnes loved Steve Rogers. (The asset did not love. The asset obeyed because the price of defiance could not be borne. The asset was a weapon that could turn at any moment – and has.) Bucky Barnes stayed in war for Steve Rogers, died for Steve Rogers. Forced the asset to save Steve Rogers.
“Now?” Matthew says with that gentle smile that always warms the chill in Benjamin’s bones. “Now, brother mine, you send the captain a message.” He holds out Benjamin’s phone. “Anywhere in the world that has sentimental value to the boy inside the warrior.”
Benjamin remembers a conversation in the mountains. He takes his phone from Matthew, scrolls through the contacts (it is not surprising that Matthew somehow has Steve Rogers’ personal cellphone number) until he finds Captain, and then types in[Cyclone, noon, five days] and hits send.
Matthew presses a kiss to his forehead and asks, “Hungry?”
“Yes, Matthew,” Benjamin answers, powering the phone off.

The mall is packed, people shoulder to shoulder everywhere, and even by those standards the man that just pushed by was incredibly annoying, “how do you always know?”
“I can read your mind, darling,” he purrs, and gently takes his partner’s hand – guides him after the ever so rude man - meal - at a slightly hurried trot, “now, do you want to lose him?”
“Of course not.”
“Of course not what?”
“Of course not… Dear.”
It’s always been like this. Ever since the day Arthur picked him up after yet another failed play, and decided to keep him instead of feasting. He feels, somehow, that he should be dismayed by all this… But a man’s gotta eat, after all, and his new boyfriend is ever so pretty.
