It's been about 12 hours since I made the post venting my frustrations about what my professor did in regards to extending time after repeatedly saying that he wouldn't.
I looked over my exam and I was able to complete 10/16 questions...to some degree of accuracy. If I get full points for those questions, that that would get me the 75 on the exam that I was aiming for!
The thing about the canvas student app is that you can put in a "what-if" grade for a listed assignment to see what your grade would be in the class.
That 75/120 would only lower my grade from 85.14 to 79.39! I would still be passing! But there's still participation points to be factored in, so I could end up with a B in the class.
My predicament now is, do I email the department head based on the professor's actions...or do I wait and see what my actual grade will be.
I think I should do it now as it won't come across as complaining about a low course grade but concern about the professor being unfair and that I could have used that additional time to check the problems I wanted to get back to but didn't have the time to because of him extended due time when he said multiple times that he wouldn't.
And let's not forget, this wasn't the first time this semester that he did that. He extended exam due time several times for the first exam and I could have used that time to make sure I had photographed all pages of my exam.
