Thursday bring beginnings and endings

Hello, everyone. I’m simplyn2deep and today is my last day of hosting! Today's theme is about beginnings and endings. August seems to bring this sense of endings and new beginnings. Summer is wrapping up, and students are getting ready to go back to school (and that includes college)! So now the question becomes, what comes after? So the theme for today is delving into how our characters come to grips with Moving On from the significant life-changing events in their lives (be it pre-canon, during canon, or post-canon).

Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and the fandom's full name
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here. Unfortunately, DW doesn’t have a cut tag, so use your best judgment when it comes to spoilers.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above-mentioned spoiler cut.

Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt

Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ any, any, character has just started their first real adult job.
+ any, any/any, are they broken up? or just taking a break?
+ any, any, character quits their job to follow their dreams.

Spooks (MI5): Adam + Lucas

Adam and Lucas had both been working late at the Grid, and when they'd finally compiled as much of the report as was currently possible, Adam suggested they go out for something to eat together. Lucas had initially seemed reluctant, but Adam had told him that he was eating out because he was too tired to cook when he got home, Lucas had agreed. They'd not discussed where they were going, simply turning into the first place they found which didn't look as if they'd have to wait too long for their food.

They had chatted while they ate, and as they left the restaurant, Adam said, "You know, we should do this again, and not necessarily just because we've worked a twelve hour day."

Lucas smiled, "Yes, I'd like that."

"I think this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship."

"I couldn't agree more, Rick!"
