nagi_schwarz and your host for the week. Today's theme is weather. Prompts can be anything to do with the weather, from weather forecasts to avoiding the weather to enjoying the weather.

Just a few rules:

It was the perfect sort of day for a walk in the Hundred Acres Wood. The wind was feeling playful and blowing all the leaves around, and Roo and Tigger were having great fun trying to catch them. Meanwhile Winnie-the-Pooh and Piglet were walking hand in hand because Pooh Bear was afraid Piglet might get blown away, and Piglet, who didn't really think he would, still enjoyed the feel of Pooh's warm paw in his hand. Rabbit seemed to be blown along by the wind as he scurried to and fro with what appeared to be innumer-a-something (well more than could be counted) errands. Even Eeyore admitted that it wasn't a bad day, all things considered.

Winter was not Logan's friend. The freezing cold made his metal bones ache, and the frosty air caused his lungs to burn when he spent too long outside. He enjoyed the time with Laura—they built a snowman with a carrot nose and coal eyes, but after playing outside for a while, Logan shivers, his cheeks pink while his nose was as red as Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

They hurry inside as it continues to snow, and Laura retreats to the shower while Wade is already there with a fuzzy blanket and says, “Baby, come on, let's get you warm.”

He makes quick work making a cozy fire while Logan dresses in the warmest hoodie and sweats he has. Logan checks on Laura before he settles in for the night—she is already snuggled up in bed sleeping after enjoying a hot shower, so Logan kisses her forehead and wraps another blanket around her to keep his daughter warm before he joins Wade on the couch beside the fire.

The snow is still falling outside when Wade wraps a blanket around Logan and then snuggles him in a hug. Logan grins, he can feel the heat slowly seeping into his bones and easing the sore ache. He kisses Wade as Wade gently rubs a hand up and down his spine, his fingers feather-light and soft and gentle.

Logan's chilly skin tingles, the cold slowly chased away by his boyfriend, the fuzzy blanket and the cozy fire. Kissed gently, hugged fondly as if he will never be let go, Logan feels like he stepped into heaven. “I love you, Wade. Every day is a blessing with you.”

“Damn straight it is!” Wade beams with a cocky grin. He is such a sweet and kind lovey-dovey romantic type of guy, although you wouldn’t know it. But Logan sees the softer side of the Merc and with every kiss he presses to his lips earns him a brightly happy smile from Wade.

Snuggled up beside the warm crackling fireplace, Logan gives Wade a soft kiss before he takes a sip of his hot chocolate with whipped cream. The chocolate is soothing warmth and seeps into his delighted soul, a smile twinkling on his face as he sweetly kisses Wade again.

When Logan finishes his cup of hot cholate he lays down with Wade, and his body to melt into Wade's hug. He sinks into the bed, snuggled up in Wade's arms, nuzzling his chest, hugging him even tighter—it feels so good, heavenly.

Wade kisses him goodnight, wrapping his arms around Logan, and soon Logan beings purring, a deep, happy, blissful rumble from his chest that is a harmonizing lullaby for Wade.

Wade kisses his forehead and holds him gently until Logan falls sleep in his arms, dreaming sweet dreams in the silences of the quiet room. Soon they are both fast sleep, cuddy warm and cozy soft, dreaming of happily ever after.

“It’s a nice day for a drive,” Bin said.

Minhyuk looked up from where he was doing his post-training stretching. “You want to go for a drive?”

Bin grinned and nodded.

“Anywhere in particular?” Minhyuk considered the state of his car, whether it was clean enough for passengers, if he needed to fill the tank.

“Anywhere is fine,” Bin said.

He was glowing. Minhyuk couldn’t remember the last time he’d seen Bin so giddy and excited. He was no longer on hiatus, was gearing up for promotions with the rest of the team. He was glad to be back, and Minhyuk was glad to have him back too, but he was still worried, that the shadows that had caged Bin before, paralyzing him, leaving him unable to perform, were still lurking in the corners.

“Let’s take a convertible,” Bin added.

Minhyuk paused mid-stretch. “A convertible? None of us have convertibles.”

“I rented one.” Bin’s eyes were bright with excitement.

Minhyuk finished the stretch, mind spinning. Then he straightened up. “You rented a car to go for a drive?”

His little SUV crossover had a sun roof, which they often used on a nice day when they went for a drive — or at night, to look at the stars and moon.

It was their thing, the two of them going for a drive, especially when Bin was in one of his darker moods and wanted to get away but didn’t really want to go somewhere.

“You have to have a driver’s license to rent a car,” Minhyuk said slowly.

Bin reached into his pocket and whipped out his wallet. He opened it and showed it to Minhyuk, positively beaming. “I just got mine.”

“What?” Minhyuk crossed the room to peer at it, and sure enough, it was a real driver’s license.

Even though Bin was older than Minhyuk, he hadn’t bothered to get his driver’s license for a long time. For the longest time, only Myungjun had had a driver’s license, even though Jinwoo and Dongmin and Bin were all old enough to get them. Minhyuk had gotten his license as soon as he was old enough, and then he’d always been the one to take Bin for a drive when things got rough.

“Today’s road trip is on me. I even got snacks and drinks. Clean up and let’s go!” Bin pocketed his wallet and chivvied Minhyuk toward the locker room. “Shower fast!”

Fifteen minutes later, Minhyuk was clean and wearing fresh clothes, but his hair was still damp as he followed Bin down to the parking garage where a sleek red convertible was, indeed, waiting for them.

Bin opened the passenger door with a flourish. “Hop in.”

“I didn’t even know you were taking driving lessons,” Minhyuk said slowly, buckling himself in.

Bin slid into the driver’s seat and buckled himself in, checked the mirrors with the caution of a new driver, and started to engine. It purred to life beautifully.

“Needed some reason to get out of the house while you all were working last era,” he said, and carefully pulled out of the parking space.

“Fair enough,” Minhyuk said.

“You’re my first ever passenger.” Bin grinned at him. “Snacks are in a cooler in the back seat. I made a playlist of driving tunes. You can be the DJ.”

“Okay.” Minhyuk picked up Bin’s phone, which he’d synced to the car’s music system.

Bin drove very carefully, hands at ten and two, until they made it out of the congestion of downtown.
As soon as they hit the highway, Bin floored it.

Minhyuk swore and clutched the door. “Hyung!”

But Bin was just laughing, utterly delighted. Minhyuk spent most of the drive terrified as Bin wove in and out of traffic like a maniac. He was still clearly a new driver, too heavy with the gas and too heavy with the brake and too abrupt with turns and lane changes.

By the time they reached their destination, a deserted mountain road over looking the city, Minhyuk’s hands were numb from clutching the panic bar, and his heart was in his throat. But finally Bin slowed, carefully guiding the car up the winding mountain road, and Minhyuk let himself unclench, take a few deep breaths.

“This is the perfect song for going on a drive on a nice day like today,” Bin said.

Minhyuk hadn’t paid attention to the music at all, though Bin had sung along and hummed along with abandon — when he wasn’t squinting into his mirrors and counting under his breath as he signaled for lane changes.

Finally, he gave in and listened — and it was a song off their upcoming album.

Sanha and Myungjun were singing the chorus together:

Bin glanced at Minhyuk sidelong. “It’s a nice day for a drive — with you.”

Minhyuk felt something in his chest unfurl. “Thanks for choosing me.”

“It’s always you,” Bin said softly.

He pulled the car to a stop and cut the engine, turning to Minhyuk fully.

“It’s always you,” he said again.

Minhyuk said, “It’s always been you for me too.”

Bin reached out and curled his hand through Minhyuk’s, and together they watched the city gleam and bustle below.

"There has to be a reason," Ros said as they watched the werewolf bouncing on and off the pavement, landing in puddles as he did so. It was raining, and after an unsuccessful attempt to meet a contact, she and Adam were trudging back to the Grid through the evening gloom. Ros suspected that the contact, who hadn't been more than a 50/50 chance of turning up, had taken one look at the weather and decided against it.

"I think he's imagining he's Gene Kelly, and acting out one of his favourite scenes in the movie," Adam replied. "Do you want to lend him your umbrella to complete the scene?"

"No I do not!" Ros grumped. "Come on, you daft mutt, time to stop dancing and head on back!"

The werewolf shrugged, did his best impression of Don Lockwood walking away from the policeman, and headed off in the right direction.
