Rare Fandoms
Sep. 27th, 2011 07:55 amHi everyone! I’m chibifukurou and I’m still enabling your
comment_fic addiction this week.
Today’s theme is Rare fandoms. Today all the prompts have to be in Small/Rare fandoms. Or crossovers with rare fandoms. I'm not going to try and police what you want to consider a small fandom, but the yuletide fandom list is always a good place to start if you run out of ideas.
So Here is your chance to prompt in those barely known fandoms that you love.
But wait before you dive right in you let’s have a quick review of The Rules:
Tiger & Bunny/Xmen, Barnaby and Kotetsu, Instead of being Next their Mutants in the Xmen world.
Ai Ore, Mizuki/Akira, Mizuki can't help liking having someone to defend her honor.
None of today's prompts interest you? Make someone’s day and answer one of the myriad of
Lonely Prompts!

But wait before you dive right in you let’s have a quick review of The Rules:
- Don’t prompt more than 5 prompts in a row or 3 prompts per fandom. When someone has answered your prompt, you can prompt again.
- No spoilers in your prompt until at least 1 week after the original airing or publication date. If there are spoilers in your fic, you must warn in bold and leave at least 3 spaces.
- Thank your fic providers they thrive on feedback.
- For the sake of the code monkeys’ sanity remember to format your prompts correctly.

She didn’t understand why Tess came up so close. Before she could ask if something happened, Tess’ arms were around her, crowding her, pulling her in, and Monica let herself be pulled, too tired to do anything else. The warmth emanating from Tess’ vessel was seeping through her skin, chasing away the cold she didn’t even know she was feeling, while the familiar scent that she always associated with Heaven and Tess was making her feel safe.
“Feeling better, baby?” Tess asked.
“Yes,” Monica answered truthfully, surprised. “I do.”
“Sometimes you just have to let yourself go and let someone catch you,” Tess murmured, a fond smile in her voice. “Remember: you don’t have to deal with it yourself. We – I – am here with you.”
Monica sighed, letting herself lean against Tess, her face hidden in Tess’ neck. “Thank you,” she said softly, feeling all the tension and sadness accumulated in her during her latest assignment slowly seeping away.
“You’re welcome, honey,” Tess smiled, cradling her even closer.

“Birthday. You know, the day you were born?”
Hatter scrunched up his face in that way she found adorable. “Oh, um. Couldn’t tell you. But today is my unbirthday,” he added, as if aware that his answer wasn’t satisfactory.
Alice rolled her eyes. “Not helpful.”
“Sorry. But with Wonderland the way it’s been recently, we don’t have much excuse to celebrate.”
Alice grimaced, remembering the terrifyingly high buildings, the airships, the casino…she shook herself out of it.
“Why, when’s your birthday?”
“May fourth,” Alice said instantly.
“Can that be my birthday, too?”
“No, it can’t be,” Alice said, rolling her eyes. “We’ll just have to make one up. I’d say December seventh, but that’s too close to Christmas...hmm. June seventh, then.”
Hatter shrugged. “Okay. Is that soon?”
Alice grinned. “You have a couple of months yet.”
Hatter’s face fell, and she laughed and kissed him.

Date: 2011-09-30 08:36 pm (UTC)When it happens the second time, Danny writes it off as a trick of light or something; Steve is, after all, standing right next to him, arguing with some shop owner about access to the recording of his security cameras, and can’t stand 20 feet to the left with a shaved ice cone in his hand. But when it happens for a third time, while they’re canvassing one of the more popular bars, searching for their perp of the day, Danny takes two steps back and squeezes Steve’s shoulder. “Any lost twin brothers I should know about? Or, I don’t know, identical cousin or some other relative?” he asks in his best ‘let’s get to know each other better’ tone.
“No, why?” Steve frowns, trying to make sense of what Danny was saying. “And even if I had, how would it be related to our case?”
“Oh, I don’t know, I thought that if your clone, sitting currently at the bar, is related to you, he might be more, you know, open for questioning,” Danny says, gesticulating in the direction of said clone.
“Oh,” Steve says, surprised.
“’Oh’, he says,” Danny murmurs, exasperated, “Like it’s normal to meet someone who looks like your clone. They didn’t clone you while you were in the Army, huh?” he asks suspiciously. “Because I tell you, the world is too small for two of you. Hell, my sanity would be as good as gone if there were two of you. So are there?”
“It’s the Navy, Danny, and no, they didn’t,” Steve says, rolling his eyes.
“Are you one hundred percent sure that some crazy scientist, thinking the Army could use more adrenaline junkies like you, didn’t swipe your mouth or something while you were sleeping or didn’t keep some of your DNA when your blood was tested?” Danny continued, his eyes going wider and wider with the possibilities.
