Hi and welcome! :3 On this first Saturday of May, let's have some Free for All fun. ✨ There are no themes to follow for prompts or fills. If you've had any ideas this week that didn't really work with Tuesday's or Thursday's posts, today's your chance to prompt 'em. Be free, and have fun! ✎

Just a few rules:
1. No more than five prompts in a row.
2. No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
3. Use the character's full name and the fandom's full name for ease in adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
4. No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here. Unfortunately, DW doesn’t have a cut tag, so use your best judgment when it comes to spoilers.
5. If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
6. If your story has possible triggers, please warn for them in the subject line!

(Or, you can be like me, and try to save interesting prompts as you see 'em... and then end up with multiple text doc files full of [themes + links + prompts] that you can easily look through and search for keywords.) Multiple fills for one prompt are welcome, by the way! Oh, and you are very likely to find some awesome fills to read as well, and wouldn't it be nice to leave a comment on those lovely little writing distractions? ~_^

We are on AO3! If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3, please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2025 collection.

Fill: Epic: The Musical, Odysseus/Penelope

Even now - home, safe, loved - sometimes it starts and just won't stop. Tears in his eyes, on his cheeks, dripping down his chin, making his chest ache. The screams are quieter now, no longer there every time he closes his eyes, but they're not gone. His men still died. He still condemned too many of them. Seven years trapped with Calypso still live in his memories. He still isn't whole.

In a moment, Penelope is there, arms around him, cheek resting softly against his. "Odysseus, love," she murmurs. So gentle, so patient, so understanding. "It's all right. It's all right. You can let it out."

He clings to her, turns his face to hide in her. The permission only makes makes it worse, unlocks that tangled thing in chest, lets the emotions flow even freer. A broken noise chokes from his throat, and she's murmuring against his ear again. Soft, nonsense comforts. Patience. Love. Gods, he would shatter without her.

It's always hard to know how long it lasts, time loose and unfathomable during these attacks, but like every other, it eventually wanes, leaving him hollow and exhausted in the circle of his wife's arms.

"There," she says softly. "There you are. You're okay."

He lets himself rest against her, more grateful than he could possibly say.
