Hello and happy Saturday night from my side of the world! ^_^ It's time for this week's Free for All. There are no themes to follow for prompts or fills. If you've had any ideas this week that didn't really work with Tuesday's or Thursday's posts, today's your chance to prompt 'em. Be free, and have fun! ✎

Just a few rules:
1. No more than five prompts in a row.
2. No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
3. Use the character's full name and the fandom's full name for ease in adding to the Lonely Prompts spreadsheet.
4. No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here. Unfortunately, DW doesn’t have a cut tag, so use your best judgment when it comes to spoilers.
5. If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the spoiler cut.
6. If your story has possible triggers, please warn for them in the subject line!

Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt

Are today's prompts not catching your eye? No worries, because we have plenty of older prompts that just might do the trick! You can browse through the comm's calendar archive (here on LJ or here on DW) for themed and Free For All posts, or perhaps check out Sunday posts for Lonely Prompt requests. (Or, you can be like me, and try to save interesting prompts as you see 'em... and then end up with multiple text doc files full of [themes + links + prompts] that you can easily look through and search for keywords.) Multiple fills for one prompt are welcome, by the way! Oh, and you are very likely to find some awesome fills to read as well, and wouldn't it be nice to leave a comment on those lovely little writing distractions? ~_^

We are on AO3! If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3, please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2025 collection.

If you are viewing this post on our Dreamwidth site: please know that fills posted here will not show up as comments on our LiveJournal site, but you are still more than welcome to participate. =)

If you have a Dreamwidth account and would feel more comfortable participating there, please feel free to do so… and spread the word! [community profile] comment_fic

A friendly reminder about our posting schedule: Themed posts for new prompts go up on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Saturdays are a Free for All day for new prompts of any flavor. Sundays are for showing Lonely Prompts some love, whether by requesting for someone to adopt them or by sharing any fills that you've recently completed.

Any, any, what if the Easter Bunny was really real?

Ianto Jones could only roll his eyes. “You remember last Christmas, when you introduced me to Santa Claus?”

“How could I forget? You acted like a fanboy!”

“I did not!” Ianto frowned at his husband. “I thought I handled things in a very mature fashion.”

“You asked for his autograph.”

“Of course I did. Who wouldn’t? I wanted a tangible reminder, so I could be sure I wasn’t just having a weird dream. Anyway, that’s beside the point.”

“O-kay… What exactly IS the point?”

Turning to Jack, arms folded over his chest, Ianto glared at his fellow immortal. “Just that when I met Santa would have been the perfect moment for you to tell me about…” He nodded in the direction of their current guest. “This.”

‘This’ happened to be a six-foot-tall white rabbit, whose name was NOT, as it turned out, Harvey. He was also not a Pooka, which probably should have been self-evident, but Ianto had still asked, just in case. When it came to Torchwood, you could never be too sure of… Well, anything. Especially things you thought didn’t exist but apparently did. Ianto was starting to wonder if vampires and werewolves might be less mythical than he’d always assumed, but he ruthlessly shoved that thought out if his head. It was too disturbing to contemplate, especially under current circumstances.

Jack looked at Ianto in astonishment. “You mean to tell me you didn’t know the Easter Bunny is real?”

“Of course I didn’t know, Jack! He’s just something parents tell their kids to explain where all the chocolate eggs come from at Easter.” Wincing, Ianto glanced over at the rabbit. “No offence meant.”

“None taken.” The rabbit casually scratched behind one three-foot-long ear with a hind paw. The ears, incidentally, were not included in the rabbit’s overall height. They just added to it, making him an even more imposing, if impossibly fluffy, figure.

“I suppose you get this a lot.”

“No, not really. I mean, normally people can’t see me, it’s just, the Rift seems to be disrupting my perception filter. That’s actually why I’m here; it’s a devil of a job delivering all the eggs at the best of times, there are more kids every year, and the delivery window is somewhat restrictive, but when people can see me…” He sighed, shaking his head. “I actually had a farmer taking potshots at me earlier, he thought I was raiding his cabbage patch. Can you imagine? As if I’d eat cabbages. Ugh!” He sipped the coffee Ianto had made for him and bit into a chocolate egg. “Cabbages might be good for roughage, but they do nothing for my energy levels. And believe me, I need a lot of energy for this gig.”

“I can only imagine.”

“Not to worry, Mike,” Jack assured the rabbit. “I’ll have this fixed before you know it. You just kick back and relax.”

Yes, the Easter Bunny’s name was Mike; how was that for a trip? Ianto’s mind was appropriately boggled.

“Thanks, Jack. Knew I could count on my old mate. We should hook up again sometime.”

“I’ll hold you to that.”

Ianto trailed after his husband as Jack went to get the small toolkit from his desk drawer.

“Hook up AGAIN?” he hissed. “Please, tell me you didn’t!”

“What? It was a long time ago, before I ever met you.”

“But… The Easter Bunny!”

“Well,” Jack grinned. “You know what they say, nothing shags like a bunny!”

Slumping into a chair, Ianto let his head drop onto Jack’s desk. He might never recover from this encounter.
