Hello, everyone. I’m
simplyn2deep and your host for the week.
If you're interested in being a Tuesday/Thursday guest host, you can sign up here. Thanks! These are the currently available dates:
May 27 & 29
June 3 & 5
June 10 & 12
June 17 & 19
Today's theme is book titles. I struggled with how to describe this. Book titles as prompts sound cool and easy enough to do, but for the writer, it might be difficult. How you want to interpret this theme is up to you.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and the fandom's full name
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here. Unfortunately, DW doesn’t have a cut tag, so use your best judgment when it comes to spoilers.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above-mentioned spoiler cut.
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ Hawaii Five-0, any, Something Wicked This Way Comes by Ray Bradbury
+ Teen Wolf, any, The Sun Also Rises by Ernest Hemingway
+ The Librarians, any, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2024 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? You can use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community. Fret not, DW members; we are working on a way to search through old entries for prompts for you! As of right now, the best way to search for a lonely prompt on DW is to search the community’s archive, which can be found [[HERE]].
While the use of LJ's advanced search and DW’s archive are options, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching in the future.
As a friendly reminder about our schedule, Lonely Prompts and sharing completed fills are encouraged on Sundays, while new themes and prompts are posted on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Saturdays are a Free for All day. We'll share our posts on DW and LJ for everyone's convenience. Keep an eye out for notifications!
If you have a Dreamwidth account and would feel more comfortable participating there, please feel free to do so…and spread the word!

Date: 2025-05-20 02:59 pm (UTC)The Librarians, Unlikely and Impossible
Date: 2025-05-22 04:19 am (UTC)Ezekiel stood frozen. “We were just in that diner,” he whispered.
Cassandra reached for his hand, hers shaking. “I heard the noise. Thought it was thunder.”
“No,” Jenkins said softly. “It was a tragedy.”
The Librarians weren’t strangers to chaos, but this-this wasn’t magic. It was real. Raw.
Jacob knelt beside a lost girl who’d wandered in, soot-streaked and silent.
“We save artifacts,” Ezekiel said, voice cracking.
“And sometimes,” Eve replied, gently wrapping the girl in her coat, “we just save each other.”

Date: 2025-05-22 04:26 am (UTC)In the woods beyond Beacon Hills, the veil thinned. The old gods whispered through dying leaves, calling him not by name, but by purpose.
“You were meant for war,” a voice murmured. “Not the sheriff’s badge.”
Stiles traced the runes burned into his wrist, gifts from a forgotten rite, remnants of a battle Derek didn’t remember.
“I didn’t choose this.”
“No,” the voice agreed. “But you’re still chosen.”
And as mist coiled around his feet, Stiles walked toward the waiting sword.

Date: 2025-05-22 04:34 am (UTC)Tony crouched beside it, the desert wind dry in his throat. No ID, no clothes, just fragments and the question: Who were you?
He’d made a career of masks—movie quotes, grins—but this, this was raw. Pure.
“Her pelvis shows trauma,” Ducky murmured.
Tony swallowed hard. “Someone tried to erase her.”
But bones remember. They hold the truths no one speaks.
Later, he stared at her photo, pieced together like a puzzle. Not a Jane Doe anymore.
“Gotcha,” he whispered. “No one disappears on my watch. Not forever.”
