Looks like everybody had a good time with yesterday's spookie-doo. Sorry I wasn't around to kick things off, but thanks again to
idiosyncratic for filling in.
Today we're going to do something a little different. Well, sort of. I'm actually borrowing today's theme from one we had during the month of comment porn that inspired this community. And because a) I'm lazy, and b)
amara_m already explained it well, I'm just going to C&P her introduction to the theme.
So it was suggested that we have a day where prompts are just one word and the writer gets to chose the pairing. That day is today! Comment with your one word.
Writers, please preface your comment with the fandom and pairing you've chosen to write for that word.
This is a perfect opportunity to explore the multi-fandom aspect of this comm and to get your f-lists involved. And that, as I'm sure you know, leads to more comment!porn for everybody! *g*
If you want a little more focus or direction, don't forget about the lonely prompts just waiting for someone to write them.

Re: Heat, no fandom, no pairing
Date: 2009-01-25 10:20 pm (UTC)When it is up, though, they crawl into the shade – it’s barely cooler inside than out, but at least they don’t have to put up with the blazing light as well. It’s never too hot to touch, though. They don’t think it’ll ever be hot enough to stop the slick slide of skin and the gasping kisses and the whispered words of want and need and please.
By the time they venture out onto the sands again, the air will have cooled somewhat, and they’ll break down the shelter almost mindlessly, skin still buzzing with remembered lust and desire. Then they’ll be on the move again until the evening.
After all, it gets cold in the desert at night. Cold enough to justify sharing body heat.
