Hola! I am doreyg (Usually, if I remember) and I'll be your guest host for this week!

So, let's start it all off with one of the best writers ever: Shakespeare! Whether it's a prompt from one of his plays, a prompt involving Shakespeare himself or another fandom using a quote from Shakespeare! Anything bard themed is A'OK today (I'm a poet, don't I (not at all) know it.)

The rules:

* No spoilers until a week after air-/publication date, if you're wondering if something's a spoiler it probably is.

I feel like I should warn for heavy duality. Idek.

Castiel wants for nothing. He doesn't need to sleep or breathe. The slightest graze to his flesh - Jimmy's flesh - can be healed with a thought.

But Castiel wants.

He should be proud. He, of all the angels, was chosen to raise the Righteous Man from hell. He is a young angel, and though the age differences amongst them are minutes they are not minute; the archangels wield their age like a weapon. For him to be chosen implies that, despite his youth, he is well-regarded. That he is important.

Or perhaps that they think Dean Winchester is not.

The first feather loosens the moment he tries a hamburger. Some more when he tries liquor.

He is a puritan, physically. For him, pleasure is a sin. The moment he enjoys, he wants. If he enjoys a thing he judges it. He says 'I, Castiel, angel of the Lord, deem this activity better than another' and in doing so saws at the cord between him and his maker.

It is hubris for him to have wishes different from god's. It is hubris for him to have wishes at all.

Yet Castiel is not 'of the lord'. He is not god's hand, or an extension of god's self. He thinks, therefore he is.

He wants, therefore he falls.
