Hi! I'm Lisa (
raggedy_edge) and I'm going to be your guest host for this week. I hope we have some fun. :)
To start things off, I thought we might play around with pop culture. Its a pretty wide sandbox to play in, so I thought it would be the perfect Monday theme to ease us into the week. Basically you are only limited by what has been released to the masses... movies, songs, books, television, celebrity catch phrases... its all fair game.
Please just make sure to be format your prompts correctly ie:
Fandom, Pairing, Prompt
Fandom1/Fandom2, Pairing, Prompt
An example of today's theme might be:
Leverage, Eliot/author's choice, "somebody has a case of the monday's" (Office Space)
Also, please remember to leave just one prompt per comment, and don't forget if you happen to think up a response to your own prompt, you are more than welcome to answer it.
Finally, if nothing strikes your fancy in today's theme, there are always the Lonely Prompt indexes waiting for your loving attention!
Ok, thats it for now, have fun!

Date: 2009-04-26 12:35 am (UTC)Ah, yes, I bet you are right about the wave thing - just always assumed they were using the file extension as a noun, much as I use ".pdf" as a noun (and sometimes as a verb) at work.
River, methinks, hands down. She's a reader, after all, and that gives her an edge up over Eliot.
You do have a point - a very good point. However, River lives in a time period in which, while rare, people seem to know that readers exist. That being said, it makes sense that Eliot might - before he's knocked unconscious - figure out that River is a psychic and, therefore, he might be able to employ some sort of mental counter to her? Much like someone would recite the periodic table of elements or the US Constitution in order to prevent brainwashing from taking hold. But employ (or attempt to employ)?
Even if, in the end, Eliot loses, I think that'd be a fight I'd like to see!
Alec: "You got your ass handed to you by a girl, a little girl! Come to think of it, she was taller than you. You're shorter than a little girl."
Eliot: "I might not have been able to kick her ass, Hardison, but I can sure as hell kick yours."
