Hello, y’all!  I’m still tigriswolf and today is Tuesday, the day of an old standby favorite: crossovers!

Any which way you want to cross something over, feel free!  There are those pesky rules to remember, however:

No more than three prompts to a single fandom

No more than five prompts at a time

Use the following format:

A-Team movieverse/NCIS, Tony/Face (Gibbs/Tony & Hannibal/Face), author's choice

SG-1/Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Giles&Daniel, Giles had an older brother who was disinherited when he refused to join the Watchers' Council; that older brother had a son

And don’t forget those lonely prompts, in case nothing from today is appealing.

tag = crossover

The Home I Wanted

After Anna regains her grace she wanders the world looking for a place to hide. Eventually, she stumbles upon a small town in North America populated by the nation’s greatest minds. At first she is wary of being among so many humans with such great intellect (surely they will guess quickly that she is different and reject her) but in time she discovers that her fear is unnecessary. The town’s inhabitants are also socially awkward and know things that are beyond the comprehension of most humans. Although some are initially sceptical of her sudden appearance, when she tells them that she is a physicist and quickly demonstrates an equation that is basic to her but awe-inspiring to them, they quickly accept her as one of their own. She soon finds that she has numerous friends and even a young admirer named Fargo. It warms her heart to know that being reunited with her grace has not alienated her from all of humanity as she feared it might.

Weeks later, her new home is attacked by angels. The sheriff investigates, but easily believes her story that the bright light her neighbours saw was simply an experiment gone wrong. He shakes his head and tells her to be more careful. After he is gone, her friends ask why a theoretical physicist was doing an experiment, but they also stop asking questions when she simply laughs and tells them that she was bored. A month later the incident has been forgotten.

It is at that time that Balthazar appears. Her former subordinate snickers at all the humans struggling to comprehend things that are second-nature to them as angels, and asks how she can bear to spend so much time around such ignorant beings whilst sober. Anna smiles fondly and says that she enjoys the simplicity of it all – she loves these weird creatures that, like her, are rejected by the rest of their species. They long for knowledge in a society that loves ignorance; she longed for emotion in a place that cherished unfeeling, unquestioning, obedience. In this place she has found a home.

Anna is surprised when Balthazar says that he understands. He tells her that he is glad she has found a place where she can be herself and be happy. She smiles and asks if he would like to stay a bit longer. He shakes his head and says that it isn’t his sort of town. His happy place is a bar with many scantily clad women who all want to ply him with alcohol and sex. Anna laughs before wishing him luck in finding such a place. Balthazar grins and promises to return soon before saluting and disappearing from the town of Eureka in a flurry of wings.
