Guess what, y'all? I'm still tigriswolf and today’s Thursday! Now’s the day for poetry or lyrics or simply a song title. Just a few simple rules:

No more than three prompts to a single fandom
No more than five prompts at a time
Use the following format:

Supernatural, author's choice, Night of the Hunter

Highlander, Methos,
I have known them all already, known them all –
Have known the evenings, mornings, afternoons,
I have measured out my life with coffee spoons;
I know the voices dying with a dying fall
Beneath the music from a farther room. (TS Eliot)

Now, if nothing new appeals, don't forget the lonely prompts.

so. This song is in my Massive Supernatural Playlist, but I ended up writing something utterly different than I intended. I doubt it's what you're expecting, either, but I hope it's okay :)

~

Pray to your god, open your heart
Whatever you do don't be afraid of the dark
Cover your eyes; the devil's inside

One night of the hunter
One day I will get revenge
One night of the hunter
One day it'll all just end.

Darkness was absence of light, and it crept everywhere that her father had not touched. Lilith liked the darkness because it spoke of a time before her, a time before her father had stared into the void and demanded light like a guilty Claudius.

Like Claudius, her father's words were poison in the ear.

She'd been cast out and reviled. Demons were built around her, but Lucifer had ripped them from her service years ago. Lilith had smiled and bent her knee, because she was clever enough to recognise a powerful ally when he held her life in her hands.

Ultimately, her life was forfeit, but as she let the darkness take her it felt more like a victory than anything she'd ever done before. A column of white rose from the floor, burning through her eyelids in its intensity, and for once it was Lilith who had summoned the light.

Lucifer, light bringer, would bathe god's world in fire and watch it burn.

Creepy! I can see Lilith thinking and feeling like this, but her mind is a creepy place.
