Date: 2012-03-31 07:26 pm (UTC)Watson watched Sherlock stalk the confines of their rooms muttering under his breath. He normally would dismiss it as part and parcel of Sherlock's normal behavior, but when his partner pulled aside the curtain and growled at what he saw outside, Watson knew this was not normal for Sherlock.
"What's the matter, Holmes?"
"I detest sunny days, Watson," Sherlock declared. "It makes it rather difficult to get inside the psyche of a serial killer."
"Difficult, but not impossible?" Watson teased.
Sherlock sighed, which told Watson that Sherlock would not be cajoled into a better humor.
"So where do you suggest that we go?"
"I'd like to go somewhere dark, gloomy and overflowing with abject misery."
"Right," Watson murmured. He reached for his mobile and pretended to punch in the number of his travel agent. "Shall I book us two tickets to the Lake District, so we may visit your brother?"
"Very amusing, Watson," Sherlock grumbled as he turned his steps toward his lab.
Watson set his mobile on the table next to his chair. He then returned to his reading with a sly smile as glass clinked against glass in Sherlock's make-shift lab.
