So, here we are. May 1st. Where has the year gone?
But, more importantly than that, it's Friday. Which can mean only one thing... It's time for FRIDAY FREE FOR ALL!!

They’d been fighting a lot lately, the time apart finally starting to strain their relationship. So when Steve walks out of the house with his keys and an angry huff, Chris isn’t at all surprised.

He is surprised when it’s going on 10 and Steve still hasn’t come back. He’d been so sure that he would walk in a couple of hours after he left and they’d talk and kiss and everything would be fine again. That’s usually how it goes.

Chris has done everything he can think of to do, just to take his mind off what had gone wrong that day. He cleaned the kitchen from top to bottom, and he hates doing that so much, cleaned out the closet and started sorting through the explosion of music, lyrics, and random papers that is the music room. He is thinking about finally giving in and going for a run when he realizes just how grimy he feels.

He’s only been in the shower a couple of minutes when he realizes when he’s singing under his breath. He’s singing Don’t Move On, and why he always sings Steve’s songs when he’s upset is beyond him. He has moved on to Just Another Goodbye when he catches himself singing again and realizes for the first time that there is someone in the bathroom with him.

He knows it is Steve, it’s always Steve but it doesn’t make him feel less embarrassed. It’s actually worse because now Steve knows what he was singing; what he always sings when he’s messed up with Steve or missing him.

Aw, thanks! I can so see Chris cleaning frustratedly and Steve catching him singing, probably shaking his head, smiling fondly and thinking "oh you idiot." *g*
